This website is dedicated to all connoisseur, to whom the fate of music gear is important.
The idea to create KeepGear.com was born at time, when our good friend lost almost all of his music stuff – beautiful guitars, two amps and some effects – as the result of home robbery. Unfortunately he did not register his gear anywhere, had no photos of it nor the serial numbers except some jam-session pics.
Inspired by this sad story we wanted to make such website, where everyone can “image” his gear, similar to making an image of hard drive or Your operation system, which helps then to restore at crash. So by registering gear here, by adding some pics and basic info, You lessen the risk of instrument loose, illegal buy or
sell, additionally making Your stuff visible to a public audience.
KeepGear mainly is the database and archive of gear, but we know how nice is to have a chat or discuss something on forum, exchange opinions and give a review on gear, that’s why we added some “social” features.
