We like to say that we give small artists the three things they need to thrive: money, exposure, and freedom - entirely for free. We think that if we treat people who make content better, the result will be better content. Most websites offer content creators little hope of a meaningful reward if they make something popular, which doesn't give them much reason to make something popular. We will change that. Here's what we do for artists: Money - we operate through competitions, with a paid award at the end, with $500 as the minimum award. Plus, we make money when our artists sell their work, with the artist receiving most of the proceeds. Lastly, we're going to release "Best of" collections, with our artists receiving a share yet again. Exposure - we actively promote our artists in every we can. For example, we release Featured lists, we do official profiles, and we continue promoting people after they've won a competition. Freedom - we're not ad based, so people can put whatever they damn well please into their content. On top of that, in the future we want to crowdsource our content ideas. At the moment we're catering to people who make music and video, but we hope to keep on expanding to any sort of creative career you could name.
