Picothumbs

Picothumbs produces thumbnail screenshots of a web page. It allows you to visually preview any link and embed it into your (web)service. Thumbnails are created in various sizes and formats, and may be retrieved or optionally stored permanently on picothumbs.com

Picothumbs offers many features that other similar services lack or are only available for a hefty price tag. These include the delivery of PDF documents including PDF meta data information, the capture of the full length of a web page, Flash 9 support on web pages and several image post-processing options including custom watermarks.

Thumbnails generation time is highly dependent on the requested web page and current load but generally lies within 10-20 seconds. An optional fast-track option allows for a speedier and more constant delivery rate for time critical applications.

The service includes a web interface to test and review all features, an API to programmatically use the service and a online manual that covers all functionality provided. Registration is free and comes with 250 credits to allow to test the service. More credits can be purchased on request.
