“SHERLOCK: Interactive Adventure” available on the App Store
An app which will make you look at interactive books in a whole new light
This brand new project is a unique interpretation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventure of the Red-Headed League, but it is far more than just another iPad/iPhone version of the book. This is the first app of its kind that manages to combine a book and an audiobook, neatly incorporating historical research and an illustrated encyclopaedia, along with film clips and video game elements.
The world in which The Adventure of the Red-Headed League is set, filled with real locations, all the protagonists and the supporting cast, dozens of items of evidence, the sound of the omnibus going past, creaks and thuds, the rustle of the wind, atmospheric music in every scene, and all sorts of notes about curious facts and weighty issues relating to the life of the capital on the banks of the Thames, as well as a detailed map of London. The streets and the interiors of the houses have been lovingly recreated on the basis of authentic sketches and photos from the time.
We follow the twists and turns of the plot through 30 scenes which use unique 3D animation and video clips to draw you ever deeper into the story, enabling you to take a journey around Victorian England and, at times, have your say on how the narrative unfolds, without in any way distorting the facts of the case as laid down by Conan Doyle.
