TeachStreet helps people find local teachers, classes and tutors who help them learn new things. Teachers use TeachStreet to find local students.

At the core, it’s a user-driven social networking and class review site, designed to help bring students and teachers together. We’ve created a community where anyone who loves to learn can find a class that’s perfect for them, and where teachers of all subjects, from academia to pure silliness, can market themselves to potential clients.

TeachStreet’s features:

• Review classes: Spread the word about classes you love, or get the scoop on a course you’ve been thinking about taking. Our class reviews come from users just like you, so you’ll have a good idea of whether or not a class is right for you.
• Search: No more wasting hours online trying to find a class, or bugging your friends for a lead. TeachStreet makes it easy to search through thousands of classes in your area, by subject or by teacher.
• Connect: Use our message center to get in touch with other TeachStreet members who share your interests. Or send a quick note to a teacher about the classes they teach. Either way, you’ll be able to get even more information about your favorite topics in just a few clicks.
