'Scuse me while i kiss which guy?

MotoLyrics.com Find your favorite song!
Review posted Thu 16 May '13  ·  24 comments

We've all got an embarrassing story about misheard lyrics in songs that you think you are totally familiar with. Desmond Dekker's classic hit "The Israelites" always baffled me when I was a kid because I was convinced that Mr Dekker was telling me that his 'ears are alight.' Maybe you had to be there. Of late, there was a Foo Fighters song where I always wondered who the Allison was and why it was the last song he'd write to her. It wasn't until recently that I found out that Dave was singing "I listen, but your out of tune" ... Read more

Review posted Wed 15 May '13  ·  26 comments

Web designers may know what looks good visually on your site but sometimes the aesthetics can get ahead of the things that really appeal to your visitors. So these days it is interesting to add a different element into the proceedings.  In this case by adding a page optimizer to automatically put the stuff on the screen - and in front of your visitors eyes - that they want to see. It is a great way to please your visitors as well as converting more of them into paying customers. And it's all done automatically.   Spending more time trying ... Read more

Review posted Wed 15 May '13  ·  25 comments

You might have seen an item featured on both The Daily Show and the ABC News with Diane Sawyer programs recently that talked about the wild cost variations for hospital treatment in the US. In the case they cited - a young boy in need of a tonsillectomy - the family were given five different quotes from five different hospital locations for exactly the same treatment. Nothing unusual there, except for the fact that the lowest came in at US$2,800 and the highest was $21,000. Everyone involved agreed that there should be a 'price list' for treatments and somewhere they ... Read more

Now... if only our day-to-day lives could be organized this well. Turn your Facebook updates, photos and memories into a real-life coffee table book

Likebook My life in a book
Review posted Tue 14 May '13  ·  14 comments

It seems kind of ironic to even contemplate turning Facebook into a coffee table book. After all, the most successful social media experiment in history has effectively replaced paper in many cases - especially when it comes to photo sharing. But, how about if I said to you that you could have a beautiful coffee table book filled with all your status updates and photos from your Facebook history. Would you think I was mad? Well, that is exactly what Likebook is. You can have your Likebook - in soft or hard cover - delivered quickly to your door and ... Read more

I think it was writer P.J. O'Rourke that once said that golf combines two of the favorite American pastimes - taking long walks and hitting things with a stick. What is certainly true is that, while it may be a very pleasant place to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon, golfers take their sport very seriously. The thing that gets me though is the way they keep score. While TV scoreboards are filled with up to the date information, the humble golfer still mostly relies on the simple piece of paper to keep their score and has no idea ... Read more

Review posted Mon 13 May '13  ·  14 comments

It would be surprising to find out that a large company doesn't have an app attached to it these days. We have been told for the last two years that an online presence is essential in these internet crazy times. With the boom in smartphones hitting an all time high and people thirsting for new apps to put on them these large businesses have had a head start on smaller ones - primarily because of the cost factor but also because it was deemed to be hard work to put a native app together. ZeitConnect is a foot-in-the-door app creator ... Read more

When people latch on to the idea of the QR Code I think it will take over the world. To the uninitiated, the QR Code is one of those square,  pixilated boxes that you see more and more of, these days, as an advertising tool that you can scan and read and it will immediately display on your smartphone. Effectively, it's a barcode that takes you to a displayable place on the Internet and can be used as a great advertising and promotional too for anything from your business, a house for sale or the menu of the restaurant that ...
