Simple but effective personal finance organizer

My Weekly Budget (MyWB) Keep an accurate track of...
Review posted Wed 8 Feb '12

My Weekly Budget (MyWB) does exactly what the name suggests...it helps you keep track of your weekly budget. It won't help with a monthly budget or a fortnightly one...just weekly. I launched the app expecting a complex set up process with salary to be entered etc...but it wasn't to be...you simply put in an amount of money that you wish to set as your budget and then add in expenses. The expenses can be chosen from a fairly comprehensive list, or you can create your own. As the list of expenses is quite long (and gets longer if you add your ... Read more

AnyAP Automate Your Accounts...
Review posted Wed 25 Jan '12

What's the job in the office that you hate most? Accounts, right?  It's also the job that's the hardest to fill when you advertise. You tend to end up with some grumpy retired guy who doesn't really fit in with the rest of the team. And what happens if he's sick for the week or goes on holiday? You are stumped, aren't you? If you are a small business it might not be a full-time position anyway. If only there was an automated system that would take care of everything. Well AnyAP fills that position. This accounting application automates the ... Read more

One for the wine buffs...

My Wine Assistant Wine Tracking For Serious...
Review posted Thu 19 Jan '12  ·  1 comment

If you’re made of the sort of money that allows you to keep 500+ bottles of wine in your cellar then $49 a year for this site’s premium plan will seem like a spit in the ocean. I can usually manage to rack up about 30 bottles pre-Christmas, however, they never seem to make it much past New Year’s Eve and although I’ve often thought about keeping the labels in a scrapbook of the one’s I like it’s always something someone else does. Anyway if wine’s your passion, as a collector as well as a guzzler I might add, then this one ... Easy to use business expense tracker

Paybackable Simple Online Expense Reports

What’s more you can export the data in a QuickBooks readable format or to Excel. Small businesses can overcome the nightmare of spreadsheets by signing up for as little as $5.95 a month. Individual users can enjoy the app and its helpful features for free. To set up an account you can use the default categories, create your own or import a QuickBooks chart ... Read more

Bionic Books Easy accounting for...
Review posted Sun 15 Jan '12

If you run a small business or indeed work for yourself and struggle with your accounts then this bookkeeping app might well be for you. It’s ok keeping your invoices in a ring binder and marking them as paid with a marker pen but sooner or later the taxman is likely to want a look at some back-up information for the numbers you enter on your tax return. How nice it would feel if you could present a profit & loss account and a balance sheet without ever having had any accountancy training. Read more

Fast calendars to print

Print a Calendar When all you want is to print...
Review posted Thu 5 Jan '12  ·  15 comments

I could go into raptures over the multitude of things that Print a Calendar does but I won't. I could say that it does somersaults and can cook dinner at the same time but I won't either. I could even tell you that you could interact with the calendar and flashing lights would come on at regular intervals but I'm not going to tell you that either. The truth is that there is only one thing that this calendar application can do and that's to provide the user with the raw materials to print a new calendar for each month ... Read more
