Whese Simplest way to find out what...
Review posted Sun 31 Aug '14

If someone asks you whether you've been 'whese-ing' these days, you might be mistaken into thinking that they were inquiring about your health. However, there's another use of the word that has less to do with the state of your health and more to do with your state of your social selfie. Whese is a new, free photo-sharing application for iOS that throws the word 'whese-ing' into our online vocabulary. This simple to use, real-time app is ideal for the serial selfie taker and allows users to share every moment of their lives with their Whese friends. Add a few ... Read more

The first online and in-person game to use GIFs to get your message across

YIX Cards Against Humanity with...
Review posted Sun 13 Jul '14

It's not easy to come up with an original game concept these days. YIX is a new game for iOS that actually manages to come up with something a little bit different to keep us amused. Well, to be honest, you can't really call this entertaining and very social game truly original because it's origins lie in games like Cards Against Humanity and Apples To Apples but, with it's use of animated GIFs rather than cards, it offers a unique take on a fun and often hilarious piece of entertainment that you can play with family and friends.   The ... Try to find the treasure in the mystery house by solving clues and riddles

The Hidden Treasure of Nahala The Hidden Treasure of Nahala...
Review posted Mon 2 Jun '14

It must have been my growing up in a household that was stacked with Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes novels that led to my love of a genuinely good  'whodunnit' mystery. I used to love trying to figure out who the dastardly murderer was or who stole the jewels from some stately mansion. Then along came the Cluedo board game and it went to another level. The thought of Mr Mustard bludgeoning someone to death with a hammer in the kitchen still haunts me. Things changed inexorably though when fully interactive games like Myst and, later on, Syberia were unleashed ... Read more

Take selfies of the thieves that use your phone and view them on Dropbox

Spy Hunter The cool way to find the thief
Review posted Mon 5 May '14

According to recent figures, crime in NYC was actually down last year - except in one area. The theft of iDevices represented close to 30% of all crime to the extent that the NYPD now has its own department that only deals with the theft of Apple products. Many have argued that it would be simple for manufacturers to install a simple 'cut-off' switch that would render the device inoperable if it was established that it has been stolen but there has been much navel gazing when it comes to actually doing anything about it. Apple and their cohorts claim ... Read more

Trap that Crazy Dot with strategy and mind games

Crazy Dot the new puzzle game, strategy...
Review posted Fri 2 May '14

There are heaps of free puzzle games available in the Google Play store. They are massively popular. But here is a new kind of puzzle game that's a little bit different from the others. Rather than playing 'join the dots,' Crazy Dot is a strategy game for Android that is more about using the art of collision to win the points and the game rather than using more complicated gameplay. However, don't get the idea that Crazy Dot is a bash n crash mindless experience. It may seem easy-to-play but this game will prove hard to master and you will ... Read more

Streem Drive Unlimited Cloud Storage For...
Review posted Mon 21 Apr '14

One of the great boom industries in the app world over the last few years has been the introduction of cloud storage for your media. Dropbox, Amazon and Google Drive are some that come to mind immediately. So why would you bother to look at another? Well, Streem Drive is a new media storage application that gives you unlimited space to store, stream and share your important movies, photos and music from the cloud for just twenty bucks a month. There is a big difference, however, between Streem Drive and other cloud-based storage apps. Not only does it take up ... Read more

Review posted Thu 3 Apr '14

If you rely on the random views of the general public for reviews on your brand or business you can be taking your business' life in your hands. If your are as good as you say you are, you will come away with some good feedback but you will also get some stinkers. They say that two percent of people will always find something to complain about. It would be better if you could direct people to a central station so that the main core of your customer feedback and reviews can be viewed together in one place and you ... Read more

Review posted Wed 26 Mar '14

They reckon that all those movie directors like Spielberg, Lucas and Scorsese cut their teeth by making short films with their Super 8 cameras. They would get their friends to act out scenes and amaze their parents and friends at film night when they showed their editing prowess with a finished film that took them ages to make. It makes it all the more impressive when you look at an app like this one. KineMaster is a fabulously fast and responsive video-editing app for Android that gives you a virtual film-editing suite at your fingertips. It is the only app ... Read more

A mobile diary so you dont forget your raving times

Review posted Wed 26 Mar '14

When I was in my teens I went to so many gig sit is hard to remember them all but there was a period there of a year or so where I listed every single band that I saw in a diary. I think it came to about 385 if I remember rightly. I wish I had kept that diary. You'd have to spend a small fortune to see that many bands these days with current gig prices. I guess the modern day equivalent of that is the 'rave' music scene but, with so many punters being under the influence ... Read more
