Review posted Yesterday  ·  1 comment

It's said that over 770,000 people suffer injuries - which include incorrect medication or wrong dosage -  due to medical error each year and over 10% of patients that make a hospital visit will encounter some kind of complication from a human error. That is an astounding statistic. Pills are of particular concern because they are often generic and only feature a company logo on them as identification. ID My Pill is a new medical application for iOS that allows you to identify any of the pills you are prescribed or have hanging around the house just be taking a ... Read more

AirStream Stream PC over Air
Review posted Wed 5 Jun '13  ·  7 comments

So many of us are using our smartphones and tablets far more than we do our personal and work computers these days. With the advances in technology for those devices moving at such a rapid rate over the last couple of years their popularity has soared. In fact, with the aid of a good wifi and a few apps, they can almost become a second computer. But there are still some things on your computer that you can't view on your device unless you are prepared to use cumbersome and time consuming methods. AirStream is an app that lets you ... It's probably the introduction of devices like smartphones and tablets that have brought about the likes of an app like Startific. iPhones and iPad have their apps lined up so neatly and precisely within the interface that we now realize how pleasant and efficient it is to have all our accessible information laid out at our fingertips via their colorful icons. Review posted Thu 30 May '13  ·  22 comments

If I said the words clipart to you the chances are you going to flip the page and have a look t something else. Clip art apps and sites are 'two-a-penny' aren't they? Just Google one and you will find pretty well what you are looking for straight away. Some will be free and some will require a royalty fee to be paid. Most people aren't keen on the idea of paying for clipart so there is a lot of potential for an app like this one. i2Clipart is an online sharing network that lets users create, share and download ... Can Hipstamatic rise from the dead and eclipse Instagram

Hipstamatic Oggl A Community Of Creative...
Review posted Tue 28 May '13  ·  25 comments

Given the amount of dithering around that Instagram has done since its acquisition by Facebook, it was really only a matter of time till someone came up with a credible alternative. However, rather than some 'new kid on the block' coming along to try and steal the almost iconic photosharing app's thunder, it is an old foe that has re-emerged. For all you newbies, Hipstamatic was the bees-knees before the Instagram revolution took hold and here it introduces its own photo sharing app for iOS known as Oggl (as in 'oggling' at photos, I guess.) This simple to use and ... Read more

I wonder just how many websites we actually have a look at in a week. But, despite the explosion of social media sites that have erupted onto the internet post Facebook we have generally settled on our favorites and they are the ones that we visit on a regular basis. We've spoken here plenty of times before and written many a positive review of apps that allow you to better control various aspects of your business website. There are apps to help the web designer put together a great website, ones to market your business online and others to help you analyze your business and optimize its growth potential. There are very few, however, that provide absolutely everything that a business needs to build and grow to fulfill that potential. But here is a new business app that has got the lot. The Marketecture Total Online Business System is the ... Read more

Review posted Mon 20 May '13  ·  8 comments

I'm not sure why I really like Melt...but I do. After all, there's really nothing that's particularly groundbreaking about this social photo and messaging application for iOS. It might be the fact that it has a very cool name or it might be the very minimalistic qualities of its simple interface. Or it might well be that it's just the place to get your favorite photos vindicated, liked and commented on. While, of course, we can always post our interesting photos on Facebook or any number of other social networks, there's no guarantee that your blaze friends will acknowledge them. ... Read more

Get locals to tell you what's good through social networks

Sooligan You're not a hooligan, you're...
Review posted Thu 9 May '13  ·  13 comments

I have a friend who runs a cafe locally and I checked out the online reviews for the place the other day. They varied from ultra-complimentary (probably written by themselves) to ultra-critical (probably written by people from rival cafes.) To be quite honest, it didn't tell me much about the place. The whole concept of reviews needs to be thrown back on the people that matter most - customers - and Sooligan is a social review site with a difference. It takes it's 'reviews' from the comments on the pages of social media to give you a much broader overview ... Read more
