Find, store and share PDF's

AsPDF Submit and Share eBooks PDF
Review posted Thu 22 Dec '11  ·  1 comment

AsPDF is one of those types of apps that I love the most. While it appears to be little more than a place to submit and share PDF's - generally not the most exciting and fun concept - there are two different functions that AsPDF can  fulfill. One the one hand it's a place to find thousands of manuals, documents and research material on anything from cancer research to any number how-to manuals. But on a sneakier and very clever level it could also be a place where you could effectively store all your home manuals and technical information and ... Read more

Store your contact details in one place

eGroovyContacts Intelligent address book
Review posted Wed 14 Dec '11

Don't you think it's time that we moved on from the humble address book and business card now that we have hit the noughties? I mean, come on people, it's time to move on. If you are anything like me you'll keep all your contact details in various places. Some are on your mobile, some on your computer and some are on sticky post-it notes stuck on your fridge. In fact, here's one in my back pocket. eGroovyContacts is an organize app where you can keep all of your contact details in one handy place and you can access them ... Read more

If you've had a look at apps like the award winning FlipBoard you'll know how glorious they make all your thoughts look. Suddenly all your thoughts, updates, pictures and links look as if they have been handed over to a design company and they produce a glossy magazine based on your content. TwitChapterz is an interesting way to create and share your defining life moments in flipbook format with friends and family via your Twitter account.   TwitChapterz is an interesting way for you to create and share life chapterz and defining moments from your tweets. Mabame Online Journal and Album
Review posted Fri 2 Dec '11

Here’s a great idea, how do you fancy having your own website completely dedicated to your life and how you’re living it? Mabame will give you just that and you needn’t worry, it won’t come up in internet searches for all the world to see. You can of course share it with the friends of your choice but even then you’ll be in charge of what they can and can’t see. Read more

Take your argument online

Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

You can certainly get it all off your chest on this site and believe me some people really do. This isn’t a site for kids who’ve just had their first argument and think their whole worlds caving in, this is aimed fairly and squarely at those couples who are midway through a life sentence and suddenly find out it’s not what it used to be. Well that’s the impression you get when you read the site’s blurb but of course it’s open to anyone who fancies getting in on a conversation about what goes on behind bedroom doors, or shower curtains ... A welcome addition to any educational establishment

Attendance Online College management software...
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

Don’t let the name of this one fool you. If you thought it was merely an alternative to the old school register then you need to take a closer look. It does have an updated version of that function of course but it also has a host of features that make it an all-round campus management system. Whether you run a school, college or university it will help you streamline a lot of the processes that have historically taken up valuable teaching time. What’s more it has a level of collaboration attached to it that enables students and their parents to ... Read more

Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

Having access to the question paper before sitting an exam would obviously give you a considerable advantage but few of us have ever had that luxury. It strikes me as slightly comical therefore that a group of business school students have got together to develop a site that aims to give you the answers to questions that might arise when you’re being interviewed for a management consultant post. Collaboration for news with rich media content

Civicboom Collaborate with rich media...
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

It is a fundamental human trait to need to ask questions and get responses. In the old days when we tended to live in smaller communities this was possible with face-to-face communication. However, as society has grown it has become impractical for one person to communicate their thoughts and news with everyone on a daily basis. Then newspapers and printed media entered the scene offering content and insight to a broader crowd. Then came the digital age and then came CivicBoom. It's a news app that connects the people that have news content with the people that need it. Read more

Review posted Mon 28 Nov '11

Sometimes you are too close to a problem to see a way to solve it. That's the point when you really do need your friends to act as a sounding board. You'd think they would be able to come up with an answer, wouldn't you. Well how about if you had hundreds of friends to act as that sounding board? CrowdStormer is a crowdsourcing app that pitches your question to the crowd and receive ideas and responses on how to improve, enhance or solve your problem. Read more

Social Networking for Dreamers

Yumety Social Network For Dreamers
Review posted Mon 28 Nov '11  ·  3 comments

While there is a huge number of social networking related apps of all shapes and sizes I have to admit that I haven't seen one quite like Yumety before. It calls itself a social network for dreamers and you'll see why. Yumety encourages you to write down your wish or dream and connect with others who have similar desires to create opportunities and friendships the world over. Read more
