A fun and colorful way to teach your young kids math

Magic Paint with Math Magic Paint with Math: Funny...
Review posted Yesterday  ·  1 comment

You only have to look at the rise of Asia when it comes to mathematics learning in the world. Their children, for one reason or another, seem to be somewhat further advanced than their 'western' equivalent and they have been dominant in mathematics for many years now. The answer may be to get your children familiar with maths a little earlier in their lives. Magic Paint with Math is a kids educational application for iOS that is geared towards kids aged between 4 and 6 that are just beginning to learn about arithmetics. It offers three different colorful levels to ... Read more

Melt A fun little iPhone app to...
Review posted Mon 20 May '13  ·  1 comment

I'm not sure why I really like Melt...but I do. After all, there's really nothing that's particularly groundbreaking about this social photo and messaging application for iOS. It might be the fact that it has a very cool name or it might be the very minimalistic qualities of its simple interface. Or it might well be that it's just the place to get your favorite photos vindicated, liked and commented on. While, of course, we can always post our interesting photos on Facebook or any number of other social networks, there's no guarantee that your blaze friends will acknowledge them. ... Read more

Fart Guitar Experience Fart Guitar
Review posted Sun 19 May '13  ·  1 comment

How could we here at the FeedMyApp offices pass up the opportunity to review an app with a name as tasteful as this one. After all, is there anyone out there that can manage to refrain from offering a smile when someone even mentions the fart world. We are a strange race, that's for sure. Fart Guitar is actually a music application for iOS and Android that offers a new take on the grunge guitar sound. It lets you play your licks on your device with some of the wildest farting guitar sounds this side of the Black Keys. You ... Read more

Guess Who your friends are when a favorite board game goes digital

Chooz Who How well do you REALLY know...
Review posted Sun 19 May '13  ·  1 comment

Do people still play real board games, I wonder. One thing's for sure, it's getting harder and harder to find a true toy store that sells these sort of games. The problem is, I guess, that with so many games now being transformed into games that can be played digitally there is a perception that if they ain't on your smartphone or tablet then they aren't worth playing. The introduction of the incredibly user-friendly iPad a few years back and the consequent rise of the tablet revolutionized the market even more and opened up all these games to a new ... Read more

MotoLyrics.com Find your favorite song!
Review posted Thu 16 May '13  ·  23 comments

We've all got an embarrassing story about misheard lyrics in songs that you think you are totally familiar with. Desmond Dekker's classic hit "The Israelites" always baffled me when I was a kid because I was convinced that Mr Dekker was telling me that his 'ears are alight.' Maybe you had to be there. Of late, there was a Foo Fighters song where I always wondered who the Allison was and why it was the last song he'd write to her. It wasn't until recently that I found out that Dave was singing "I listen, but your out of tune" ... Read more

You might have seen an item featured on both The Daily Show and the ABC News with Diane Sawyer programs recently that talked about the wild cost variations for hospital treatment in the US. In the case they cited - a young boy in need of a tonsillectomy - the family were given five different quotes from five different hospital locations for exactly the same treatment. Nothing unusual there, except for the fact that the lowest came in at US$2,800 and the highest was $21,000. Everyone involved agreed that there should be a 'price list' for treatments and somewhere they ... Read more

I think it was writer P.J. O'Rourke that once said that golf combines two of the favorite American pastimes - taking long walks and hitting things with a stick. What is certainly true is that, while it may be a very pleasant place to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon, golfers take their sport very seriously. The thing that gets me though is the way they keep score. While TV scoreboards are filled with up to the date information, the humble golfer still mostly relies on the simple piece of paper to keep their score and has no idea ... Read more

Why the QR Code will take over the world

Review posted Sat 11 May '13  ·  12 comments

When people latch on to the idea of the QR Code I think it will take over the world. To the uninitiated, the QR Code is one of those square,  pixilated boxes that you see more and more of, these days, as an advertising tool that you can scan and read and it will immediately display on your smartphone. Effectively, it's a barcode that takes you to a displayable place on the Internet and can be used as a great advertising and promotional too for anything from your business, a house for sale or the menu of the restaurant that ... Review posted Fri 10 May '13  ·  2 comments

While MoxieCanvas really does create beautiful animations we should get one thing clear. We're not talking about cute animals like Bambi or CGI'd like Buzz Lightyear here. Create any kind of shape you need (you can have a go at Bambi if you like) using drop and drag. Review posted Thu 9 May '13  ·  3 comments

There's something very likable about music apps. Whenever I send my friends details of new music apps they are always excited by the prospect of another way of creating a cool place to find out more about their favorite musicians. ArtistBox is an iOS app that searches through your iPhone or iPad music library and displays them within the beautiful looking interface. While there are plenty of other similar apps around, ArtistBox excels on its user-friendliness and its depth of information. The app aggregates a vast amount of photos and info to enhance your listening experience.   ArtistBox gathers all ... Read more
