Fully automated monitoring to ensure your site or app is always working well

RapidSpike Ensure your website is online...
Review posted Thu 15 Oct '15

One of the consequences of the age we live in is the rise of the business website and online store. There are more and more people who have either given up on the regular Main Street store or have decided that they are sick of working for someone else and want to go out on their own. So they create their website or app and reckon it's all downhill from here as they wait for the money to roll in. Maybe a little naively, some believe that once they've unleashed their online presence onto the world, most of the hard ... Read more

No matter the size of your website, one of it's essential features will be a site map so that visitors will know where to go to view the things they want to see. However, while the sitemap is very useful for general navigation it can also be a place that attracts the interest of the search engine. You can create your own sitemap, of course, using one of the many apps available online. There are a squillion of them. Some offer HTML sitemaps that delivers excellent general navigation for web visitors while others offer XML versions that are intended to ... Read more

Classic old school gameplay for modern devices

Paradot Do you have the balls!
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

I went to visit some friends down the coast recently and it occurred to me that the choice of home entertainment goes down big time as soon as one gets away from the city. We played a few games of cards before someone pulled out a peg solitaire game and that was it for the rest of the evening. I'd forgotten how wonderfully addictive and entertaining it was. I guess there was a little bit of synchronicity involved when I came across this entertaining puzzle game for iOS that bears some basic similarities. Paradot is a minimalistic retro style action ... Save and share small parts of videos rather than having to keep the whole thing

Eclips Pinterest for Video
Review posted Mon 21 Sep '15

I'm sure that we've all been in a position at one time or another where we've been watching a longish video on YouTube and found a part of it really interesting. So interesting, in fact, that we want to keep it and watch it again later or share it with our friends. The process at the moment seems to be to save the whole video to your playlist or to add it to the "watch later" feature. However, it can get a little annoying when the section that you want to keep is only one or two minutes out of ... Read more

You might have seen a review that FeedMyApp ran recently for an iOS app called Notes Lock. It secured all your notes, recorded conversations and your private thoughts so that prying eyes wouldn't be able to get to them. Folder Lock Advanced is kind of an expanded version of that for both Android, iPhone and iPad that takes security one step further to protect and lock your personal folders, files, photos, apps, videos, notes, wallet and any other kind of data that you need to keep secure. This release is actually an updated and far more advanced version of the ... Read more

A few years ago I had a friend who had been laboriously plotting a story that he hoped might be taken up as a tv series. He kept it tucked away on his mobile device and worked on it diligently for over a year. I contacted him again a couple of years later after I'd seen the pilot episode of a new series because the plot line bore a remarkable resemblance to his own. He told me that he'd seen the episode and put two and two together and worked out that, while he'd been at a writers’ workshop, he'd ... Read more

Review posted Sun 6 Sep '15

If there's one word that comes to mind regarding our online activities over the last few years it is security. Not only are there people from as far as the Ukraine and China trying to access our private information but there's also been plenty of occasions when friends, family and co workers have felt the compulsion to see what we are up to on our devices. I've lost count of the number of times that I've seen an embarrassing post on a friend's social media account which has obviously been entered by someone other than themselves when they have left ... Review posted Sat 5 Sep '15

It's okay, I can hear you shouting from the rooftops right now! Does the world really need yet another chat and messaging app? There are so many out there and all have different pluses and minuses but a chat app is a chat app, right? The fact is though that many of those apps were designed quite a few ears ago and many of them remain pretty much the same as they were when they were originally released. Needs have changed and different features have taken on a new relevance. So here I am to introduce to you a free ... Read more

Review posted Wed 19 Aug '15

I think it was Steve Martin who said in the Grand Canyon movie, "The answer to all of life's problems are in the movies." There are a lot of movies out there so I'm sure that's true in general but I don't think any movie has offered up a remedy for world peace just yet. I think we all agree that the big problems can be very difficult to solve but smaller ones might have a chance...given the right advice. Ask The Guides: Success is an entertaining, interactive oracle reading app for iOS that allows the user to ask any ... Read more

Take the hassle out of conference room bookings

Roomzilla Effective and easy to use...
Review posted Sun 9 Aug '15

You wouldn't think that there would be too many problems in managing physical conference room reservations, would you? One would figure that you just invite people after checking their schedules and then find a room and work out a convenient time for everyone. There are even models in Outlook and Google Calendar that work on that system. Unfortunately, it's not always that simple. What tends to happen is that some rooms get double booked while others remain empty - causing frustration on all sides. After years of testing, a company in Cambridge, Massachusetts has put together a faultless, cloud-based solution ... Read more
