Power Passage The best Bible passages for...
Review posted Mon 7 Dec '15

Religion in general gets a pretty bad rap these days, doesn't it? Some say that it's on the decline. While a recent Gallop survey suggests that 40% of Americans go to church on the weekends, figures from the church itself put that figure at closer to 20%. That doesn't make it any less relevant to the way of life of millions of people around the world, though. I think it was comedian Steve Martin who said in the film "Grand Canyon" that "the answer to all life's problems are in the movies." Well, to many, the answer to all of ... Read more

Review posted Sun 18 Jan '15

The debate between kindle readers and physical paper book readers has raged for a few years now and avid readers seem to have divided into one or the other. Ebook readers love the ease and simplicity of reading a book on their kindle without having shelf loads of books cluttering up their homes while paper book readers love the pure pleasure of holding a book in their hands rather than a piece of plastic. Personally, I think the kindle has a fair way to go to fulfill its obvious potential. However, there is another way of 'reading' books that seems ... Read more

A social network for creatives with more than fifty shades of grey

MinaGrey Creative Gets Smart, Smart...
Review posted Sun 1 Jun '14

Don't panic, MinaGrey is not the follow up to Fifty Shades of Grey! It's far more worthy to me than that poorly written piece of fluff. Let me just say from the outset here. This free, art and writing application is unlike any other app that we've seen before here at the FeedMyApp offices. I guess the best way to describe it is would be as a non-commercial artistic and creative community where musicians, artists, writers and scientists can freely share ideas, concepts and their artistic skills with the rest of the world. It's a social network - run by ... Read more

Record and interpret your dreams as you type

Review posted Sun 27 Apr '14

It's kinda rare for me to remember my dreams at night past that first ten minutes when I wake up in the morning. It seems so vivid at first but then it just seems to disappear as your mind grasps for more... like smoke in a breeze. I do remember a particular one recently where I was booking into an elevated hotel in the mountains of Nepal with a friend and my two cats. The fact that the friend was the girlfriend of a good friend of mine just made it more complicated - but, that's another story. They say ... Read more

A new, easy and provocative way of writing a personal diary or journal

Askt App Journal by daily questions
Review posted Sat 26 Apr '14

You might have seen a review that FeedMyApp posted recently for an app called BooksTo.Me. In it, it was mentioned how posting daily Instagram photos has become the new diary for many people and how it was a convenient way of documenting your life. The diary concept has all but disappeared for many these days, but with so many popular online versions available as well as the plethora of personal blogs and journals, it’s obvious that many have a hankering to document their daily activities. But anyone who writes on a daily basis will know that the hardest sentence to ... Read more

Review posted Wed 19 Mar '14

Everyone loves Sherlock Holmes adventures. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's timeless adventures sit alongside Agatha Christie as doyens of the murder mystery. The character has been played by everyone from Basil Rathbone and Robert Downey Jr on the big screen to Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller on tv and the stories are as brilliant as anything seen on CSI or SVU. Now Holmes takes on a brand new adventure inside this beautiful, next generation interactive book application for iOS. As the byline says, it will make you look at interactive books in a whole new light.   SHERLOCK: Interactive Adventure ... Read more

A fully portable autism aid for when you are on the go

Words in Pictures App for autistic children
Review posted Thu 6 Mar '14

According to Wikipedia, Autism is defined as ' a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication and by restricted, repetitive or stereotypical behavior.' Sufferers, more often than not young children, regularly have trouble understanding concepts that can generally only be solved using pictures to back up vocabulary and diligent parents will spend hours at home setting up image cards to help kids understand better, the world that they live in. A year or so back, an Italian developer - aided by a team of neuropsychiatrists, speech therapists, educators and parents from all over ... Read more

Engage your customers better by packaging rich content together in one place

Uberflip Make. Content. Perform.
Review posted Wed 19 Feb '14

If you are trying to market and promote a brand or a product (or yourself, if it comes to that) then, the chances are, you will have social media pages, blogs, videos, eBooks and more - all working for you. The main problem here though, is that these individual advertising areas are spread all over the Internet. You run the risk of your viewers getting distracted by other content when you send them to places like YouTube to view your content. Uberflip is a marketing and publishing application that centralizes all your content into one all-encompassing Hub to keep your ... Read more

Collaborative writing that is fun as well as being educational

Fablelane Collaborative story writing...
Review posted Thu 16 Jan '14

To my mind, an app like Fablelane has two separate reasons for existence. First and foremost, this collaborative storyboard can encourage writers of all ages - but especially young writers - to get involved in story creation and get social at the same time. But its other purpose -as an educational tool - could well be the more important and the more useful of the two. You can use the app to fuel your creative mind and continue someone else's story, write the beginning of a story of your own or you can use it in a more educational way ... Read more

Review posted Sun 15 Dec '13

The Internet has certainly changed the way we live but who would have thought that it would change the way we speak, too? Im sure that, by now, everyone knows full well that LOL means Laugh Out Loud but it gets a bit challenging when you are presented with SEO's and FML...and we haven't even thought about LMFAO - maybe we shouldn't go there just yet. The fact is, the Internet exists on acronyms, abbreviations and slang and, if you want to know your way around, there needs to be an easy place to go if you want to find ... Read more
