Review posted Thu 6 Mar '14

According to Wikipedia, Autism is defined as ' a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication and by restricted, repetitive or stereotypical behavior.' Sufferers, more often than not young children, regularly have trouble understanding concepts that can generally only be solved using pictures to back up vocabulary and diligent parents will spend hours at home setting up image cards to help kids understand better, the world that they live in. A year or so back, an Italian developer - aided by a team of neuropsychiatrists, speech therapists, educators and parents from all over ... Read more

Quite simply, Ebook Glue is an easy way to convert your written content, like your blog for example, into a downloadable and nicely designed ebook that you can share with your friends and the rest of the world. And while the app is effectively a commercial ebook converter with pricing plans that cater for anything from 1500 conversions to nearly 40,000, there is also a free plan for smaller bloggers that lets you convert up to 25 items each month. EBook Glue gives bloggers the chance to create their own ebook without having to do any of the typesetting and ... Read more

A novel new kind of vampire ebook

Carmilla Meet one scary girl
Review posted Fri 24 May '13  ·  512 comments

Despite the fact that ebooks have taken off to the extent that Amazon's ebooks now sell more digital books than paper ones, I still feel that there is something missing with the format. It's just not the same as picking up a book and reading it from cover-to-cover. The ebook needs to deliver more to convince the rest of us non believers that it has something else to offer besides a kindle. And this iOS application could well be the kind of thing to convince me. Carmilla is a new app by DraculApps (yep, you heard it right) that not ... Read more

Likebook My life in a book
Review posted Tue 14 May '13  ·  604 comments

It seems kind of ironic to even contemplate turning Facebook into a coffee table book. After all, the most successful social media experiment in history has effectively replaced paper in many cases - especially when it comes to photo sharing. But, how about if I said to you that you could have a beautiful coffee table book filled with all your status updates and photos from your Facebook history. Would you think I was mad? Well, that is exactly what Likebook is. You can have your Likebook - in soft or hard cover - delivered quickly to your door and ... Read more

Pilo2 An Interactive Children's...
Review posted Thu 21 Feb '13  ·  60 comments

Yesterday we reviewed the first edition of a new interactive 3D storybook application called Pilo. Pilo is a beautifully animated and multi award winning iOS app that, while looking great, is a real winner because of its storyline as much as its look. Now comes the second release in the series. Pilo2 still carries the same stunning 3D animation but this time the action is in the form of puzzles, music and more interaction to capture a child's attention. Choose a character, dress them up, play musical instruments and get them to dance just by tapping on them. This multi ... Read more

The introduction of the iPad changed everything in the world of children's apps. In fact, chances are, apps like Pilo probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the tablet platform. The iPad is very user-friendly and a great size for excellent viewability...not to mention the ability to add an interactive element. Pilo1 is a gorgeous real-time 3D interactive story book application for kids that has won numerous prestigious awards worldwide. But the best thing about Pilo1 isn't simply the beautiful 3D animations. It also carries a story that will be relevant for every parent trying to get their child to ... Read more

Just2Cloud Your Virtual Office
Review posted Tue 12 Feb '13  ·  28 comments

While there have been many cloud-based accounting and invoicing apps that have passed through our virtual hands here at the FeedMyApp offices over the last few months not many are as comprehensive or cost effective as this one. Just2Cloud is a new inventory and accounting system that cries out for attention - especially by the small business community - because it serves as a virtual office. Here you can create quotes and invoices, create and manage customer and supplier accounts and track your inventory as well as generating sales reports to analyze where you may be going right or wrong. ... FeedMyApp has reviewed some brilliant business apps over the years but very few offer everything that Gazelle Point-of-Sale does for the small to medium-sized online shop. It offers everything from a complete inventory, customer and staff management systems all the way through to an e-commerce capability to take the retail world easily into the realm of online shopping - so essential in these changing times.
