Review posted Fri 11 May '12  ·  2 comments

Here's a very cool music application for the serious music fan. ListenItLater which allows you to make multiple playlists of newly found music and podcasts collected from streaming websites. Create your lists from SoundCloud's vast array of sounds (with YouTube about to be added) and gather them into any number of varied playlists to listen to later when you have more time to enjoy them.   For us music lovers, we discover great new music all through the day though, quite often, we don’t have enough time to organize it right where and when we find it. Edit your Facebook feeds to just the good stuff

Review posted Fri 27 Apr '12

Despite the fact that your Facebook and Twitter friends and followers' lists just keep growing the chances are that you really only react to the people closest in your group. While having hundreds of friends looks pretty good on paper, it's getting harder and harder to scroll through all the updates and photos which come from everyone from your closest friends to your Auntie Doris - who has just discovered social networking and is sharing her knitting patterns. Le Feed is a Facebook application with an intuitive and intelligent algorithm that sorts out the stuff you want to see from ... Read more

A social photoshare network to use on the go

Realikety - "Like" Reality! The new social network...
Review posted Thu 26 Apr '12

Realikety is a very interesting new take on the social networking concept that works on the theory of 'liking' anything you see on your travels or just out on the street. Whereas Facebook gives you the ability to 'like' videos you love, photos you want to share and witty and clever updates from your friends, Realikety adds a new spin by getting you to snap photos of things and places you find while on the go, set the location of your shot, add relevant information to go with it and post it for friends to enjoy, react and comment on. ... We are all reasonably well acquainted with Facebook's Timeline by now and have come to accept it as the new way of viewing Mark Zuckerberg's social empire. Businesses are starting to get serious about using Facebook as an advertising tool and TimelineTab follows on from apps like Facebook Timeline Cover Maker, Cover Photo Maker and Picscatter in providing a new look for the new look Timeline. However, the big difference here is that Timeline Tab is geared as an advertising tool for medium to small businesses and provides a while heap of extras to create your Tabs as well as ... Read more

A beautiful place to keep your web page clippings

Meaki Find it. Clip it. Keep it....
Review posted Thu 29 Mar '12  ·  1 comment

The way it stands at the moment when I find an interesting webpage that I want to hang on to and look at again later with my friends I do one of two things. I'll either save it to the myriad that is Facebook or I'll bookmark it into another myriad of messiness. Meaki turns the whole bookmarking thing on it's head by making it social. It's a microblogging and sharing application where you can collect and share the cool web pages you find and it presents them in a great looking package. It's almost the Flipboard for web pages. ... Kulisha Pin your social feeds
Review posted Sun 25 Mar '12

Since the Pinterest phenomena began to take hold there has been a lot of interest in 'pinning' your photos and other stuff on pinboards to show to your friends and the whole wide world. As a consequence, there are a lot of apps being released ... Read more

Remove the dumb comments from web discussions

Talkino Community-guided filtering of...
Review posted Fri 23 Mar '12

If you , like me, are appalled at some of the pathetic and pointless comments that crop up on stories you read on the net then Talkino could well be something that interests you. It allows you to partake in meaningful discussions on stories you are interested in without having to deal with some of the more annoying comments that are often posted. Yes it does seem a little elitist, dare I say snobbish even, but...you know what? There really is a place for it.   The concept of Talkino was designed to finally solve the problem of getting rid ...
