Lend or trade your stuff with your social friends

Jipio Share and trade stuff with...
Review posted Mon 8 Sep '14

Have a look around you. I bet you have a ton of stuff that works perfectly well and yet you don't use very much - if at all. Most households are the same. We've all got useful stuff that is just taking up space in our homes. Your nextdoor neighbor or the family down the road probably have the same situation. The fact is, when we need something like a circular saw or a bicycle or a microwave, we just go out and buy a new one rather than asking if our neighbors have one that we can buy or ... Read more

Review posted Fri 9 May '14

Do your friends think of you as a bit of a whinger? Do you look at the world as a cup half empty rather than one that is half full? Do you find yourself constantly posting things that you have a bit of a beef about on your social networks? Are your friends threatening to unfriendly you? Do you wonder why no one seems to be listening? Well, forget about the regular social networks - if your friends only want to post pictures of their babies or what they ate tonight, that's their problem. Now there's a social network that ... Review posted Sat 5 Apr '14

A few years ago i was running a DVD store and a couple of the more regular visitors were an American guy and his daughter. They were incredibly friendly and always ready for a chat but I always had the feeling that there was a backstory to them that I could never figure out. Then a movie was released that detailed the life of a real life mob figure who had been put into witness protection with his daughter. Within a couple of days, they were gone and I never saw them again. Now I'm not necessarily saying that my ... Read more

The perfect app for news junkies

ClipWiz Watch all your favorite news...
Review posted Sat 15 Mar '14

Here's one for all you news junkies out there like me. ClipWiz is a brand new and rather unique news and entertainment application for iOS that lets you better organize and simplify your video news watching. It takes the concept of the humble TV guide to put all your favorite news channels at your disposal in a timeline and based on your viewing habits. Rather than having to painstakingly search the Internet for the latest news or switch between your favorite channels, ClipWiz lines them all up for you to watch as they happen - and all in one much ... For most of us sports tragics, there's only one-way to go about it. Flashscore Livescore lives up to its name by providing fast and accurate scores from all your favorites games worldwide with the added bonus of 'live' results and stats for selected sports. The app is available for iOS and Android.   For us universal sporting fans it is hard work keeping up with all the scores from our favorite sports around the world. ... Read more

Prioritize your news into a beautiful online magazine format

NOOWIT Cut the Noise!
Review posted Fri 20 Dec '13  ·  1187 comments

When Flipboard won 'app of the year' a few years ago it was the start of a new way of looking at content on the Internet. Rather than viewing feeds in the normal fragmented way, the app turned them into the most glorious, flickable, 'magazine-style' format that made it a sheer pleasure to look through your content. It was only a matter of time before that concept was tweaked into an excellent publishing application like NOOWIT. This handsome-looking application prioritizes your content to deliver all your news stories from all your favorite sources in a user-friendly and beautiful online magazine. ... Read more

Ask 100 people where they would like to visit and most of them will have New York City somewhere near the top of the list. I know I do.  There is something almost mythological about the place and it really is one of the great cities of the world. But what happens when you get there? What do you go and visit first? You could go and buy a guidebook which will tell you the obvious places to go and where they are but some of us might want to see a little bit of the New York that only ... Read more

Just in case you hadn't noticed, things are moving at an alarmingly fast pace in the world of online technology. So fast, in fact, that it can be hard to keep up with the latest rumors, releases and trends. If you are anything like me, you scour through a few favorite sites like Mashable, TechCrunch and Geek.com to try to keep up and pick up the rest of the information from wherever you can. Most of these sites offer their own variation on tech news - some put the emphasis on games while others feature the latest software, gadgets or ... Read more

It seems that the way we get our news in this online world has changed. what's more, it's going to change a hell of a lot more over the next five years or so. Every time I look at a story in my usual online newspaper it is telling me that pretty soon I'm going to have to pay for the privilege of reading anything more than the story summary. So the answer for many of us is to hunt out our own news. However, what starts off as leisurely exercise can often turn into a lengthy encounter searching through ... Read more
