If i asked you which was the more popular entertainment for American families between major league sporting events, theme parks and museums, my guess is that you wouldn't pick museums. They have long been considered to be a bit old hat and stodgy and full of nothing but ancient relics. Surely no kid would want to see that, would they? Well, according to a 2011 study, there are over 850 million visits to museums each year. That's just about the same amount as the other two put together. Museums are actually very popular, it seems. Great ideas for corporate travel and group adventures with everything under one roof

Truly Visit Free Group Trip planner app...
Review posted Sun 29 Nov '15

If you've ever been the poor sucker who has been put in charge of planning a group trip or organizing corporate travel, I can only have sympathy for you because it can be a hugely time consuming operation. If you're lucky, you have a great travel agent who knows all the deals, all the places to visit and where to get the best tickets for events. Unfortunately, finding one with that much knowledge is not the easiest thing. It doesn't end there either. Even after the trip is over, there are still all the bits and bobs to take care ... A new kind of social network that already has 4 million users

Taptrip Taptrip - Make the world...
Review posted Thu 26 Nov '15

If I told you that there was a social network out there that had over 4 million users across 250 countries and regions and you've never heard of it, my guess is that you'd be a little surprised. I certainly was when I first came across Taptrip. This free social network for Android connects you with new friends from all over the world via photo posting and chat. Thats all very well, but how does one get across the language barriers, you're probably asking? Well, Taptrip automatically translates your posts into any of 17different languages, enabling seamless communication with your ... Read more

Save and share small parts of videos rather than having to keep the whole thing

Eclips Pinterest for Video
Review posted Mon 21 Sep '15

I'm sure that we've all been in a position at one time or another where we've been watching a longish video on YouTube and found a part of it really interesting. So interesting, in fact, that we want to keep it and watch it again later or share it with our friends. The process at the moment seems to be to save the whole video to your playlist or to add it to the "watch later" feature. However, it can get a little annoying when the section that you want to keep is only one or two minutes out of ... Read more

Review posted Fri 4 Sep '15

It wasn't that long ago that car insurance was simply insurance. There wasn't a lot of difference between one company and the next and the main factors in determining the premiums we pay for insurance was our age and the classification of the vehicle we are driving. However, in many countries these days there's another area that can affect the level of payment. In most US states, for example, any moving violations can assess points on your driving record. As a result, with more points tending to indicate future violations, insurance companies review driving records every now and again and ... Read more

Take the hassle out of conference room bookings

Roomzilla Effective and easy to use...
Review posted Sun 9 Aug '15

You wouldn't think that there would be too many problems in managing physical conference room reservations, would you? One would figure that you just invite people after checking their schedules and then find a room and work out a convenient time for everyone. There are even models in Outlook and Google Calendar that work on that system. Unfortunately, it's not always that simple. What tends to happen is that some rooms get double booked while others remain empty - causing frustration on all sides. After years of testing, a company in Cambridge, Massachusetts has put together a faultless, cloud-based solution ... Read more

Anyone who is a regular reader of FeedMyApp reviews will know just how much we love a new and innovative travel app. To be quite honest, we feel a little starved of great ones of late. Despite the plethora of travel related apps that exploded onto our lives in the early days of app development, there haven't been that many recently that have managed to stir the interest of this would be traveler. However, here's one that could be very interesting to the more adventurous amongst us. VidPal offers a new concept in discovering new places by asking fellow travelers ... Read more

Get Black Friday-sized shopping bargains from the comfort of your own home

PWUL A free service that emails...
Review posted Sat 29 Nov '14

Does the whole concept of Black Friday scare the living daylights out of you? You've spotted an advertised price for a new TV but it's probably going to mean queuing up for hours, maybe days, in order to actually buy it at that price. Not only that but there's going to be a lot of pushing and shoving when you get in there. But it doesn't have to be like that. PWUL (Pay What You Like) is a new shopping application that constantly tracks thousands of websites to find the item that you want and at the price that you ... Read more

Review posted Tue 8 Jul '14

The Tower Defense (TD) style of video game is a sub-genre of real time strategy games where the idea is to try to stop an invading force from making inroads into your territory by using various fighting methods - and anything else you can get your hands on. I guess the genre began when Atari introduces the game Rampart way back in the early 90's. The graphics have changed a lot over the years but the gameplay is basically pretty similar. Hero TD - Ancient Continent is a multiplayer online role-playing game for Android, Blackberry10 and iOS that proves to ... Read more

Review posted Fri 16 May '14

It would appear that, after the horrors and belt-tightening that resulted from the GFC a few years ago, there seems to be a little bit of money back in the pocket again. It took around 10-15 years for the turnaround to happen after the crash of '29 so we've probably done a good job in minimizing the damage so far. I think we've learned a few things out of this crisis though. The main thing i think that we've learned is that it's never been more important to organize ourselves monetarily and that it's vital to live within our means. ... Read more
