Take the hassle out of conference room bookings

Roomzilla Effective and easy to use...
Review posted Sun 9 Aug '15

You wouldn't think that there would be too many problems in managing physical conference room reservations, would you? One would figure that you just invite people after checking their schedules and then find a room and work out a convenient time for everyone. There are even models in Outlook and Google Calendar that work on that system. Unfortunately, it's not always that simple. What tends to happen is that some rooms get double booked while others remain empty - causing frustration on all sides. After years of testing, a company in Cambridge, Massachusetts has put together a faultless, cloud-based solution ... Read more

Get Black Friday-sized shopping bargains from the comfort of your own home

PWUL A free service that emails...
Review posted Sat 29 Nov '14

Does the whole concept of Black Friday scare the living daylights out of you? You've spotted an advertised price for a new TV but it's probably going to mean queuing up for hours, maybe days, in order to actually buy it at that price. Not only that but there's going to be a lot of pushing and shoving when you get in there. But it doesn't have to be like that. PWUL (Pay What You Like) is a new shopping application that constantly tracks thousands of websites to find the item that you want and at the price that you ... Read more

An exciting and addictive role playing game to keep you amused for hours

Hero TD - Ancient Continent Aid the Princess and help...
Review posted Tue 8 Jul '14

The Tower Defense (TD) style of video game is a sub-genre of real time strategy games where the idea is to try to stop an invading force from making inroads into your territory by using various fighting methods - and anything else you can get your hands on. I guess the genre began when Atari introduces the game Rampart way back in the early 90's. The graphics have changed a lot over the years but the gameplay is basically pretty similar. Hero TD - Ancient Continent is a multiplayer online role-playing game for Android, Blackberry10 and iOS that proves to ... Read more

Review posted Fri 16 May '14

It would appear that, after the horrors and belt-tightening that resulted from the GFC a few years ago, there seems to be a little bit of money back in the pocket again. It took around 10-15 years for the turnaround to happen after the crash of '29 so we've probably done a good job in minimizing the damage so far. I think we've learned a few things out of this crisis though. The main thing i think that we've learned is that it's never been more important to organize ourselves monetarily and that it's vital to live within our means. ... Read more

Get compensation if your flight is cancelled or delayed

ClaimAir Collect flight compensations...
Review posted Mon 12 May '14

I'm betting that you, like me, have absolutely no idea that airlines have regulations in force that let you collect compensation for various flying conditions that may interrupt your trip. That's probably because the airlines like to keep it a secret and hide details in the fine print of your contract. The fact is, if your flight is delayed or cancelled or you are denied the right to board for some reason you may be eligible for some form of recompense from the airline involved. This is also true for some baggage related issues including loss or damage. ClaimAir is ... Read more

The Uber App Request, ride, and pay via...
Review posted Thu 1 May '14

You might have noticed the kerfuffle that has been kicked up about this next generation taxi application - actually they call it private hire and ride sharing - over the last few months. Uber has been featured on the front pages of newspapers all over the world from New York to Australia. So, why is it causing such a fuss? Well, Uber has come into conflict with Government and traditional taxi companies who believe that there are insurance issues and that both cars and drivers should have to be licensed.  But, the fact of the matter is, Uber appears to ... The safest way to avoid parking tickets

ParkingMaestro Local app to save motorists...
Review posted Wed 9 Apr '14

If there's one thing that's guaranteed to put a motorist in a foul mood for the day, it's the parking fine. To be fined hundreds of dollars for simply parking your car for five minutes longer that it should be is, to be quite honest, rather pathetic. To my mind, councils should be putting more of our tax dollars into building car parks and improving public transport than hiring thousands of resolute parking officers to slap a ticket on your car. The fact is, our cities are overcrowded and there are more cars on the roads these days than ever ... Read more

Complete production management, scheduling and budgeting for your indie film at a great price

Review posted Wed 2 Apr '14

One thing that many a budding independent filmmaker doesn't realize until its too late is that the art of making a movie isn't just about the physical action of making the film itself. The grim reality is that there's a lot of paperwork involved - especially if you are the producer, director and writer. With film industry budgets tighter than they have been for many years, it's important to be well organized and have everything mapped out for when things do go off the rails a bit - and they probably will. There are a number of apps on the ... Read more

One of the essential travel apps for travel in Asia

Tripper The World's Local Assistant
Review posted Wed 26 Feb '14

Wouldn't it be great if you could take your very own interpreter with you when you visit a country where you don't speak or understand the language? You could hire one with some local knowledge when you get to your destination but that can be quite pricey and there's no guarantee that your guide will have all the answers you need. What's more, you are going to need them to hang around with you wherever you go. The sensible alternative may be to turn to an iOS and Android travel application like this one. Tripper, or 'The World's Local Assistant' ... Read more
