It's okay, I can hear you shouting from the rooftops right now! Does the world really need yet another chat and messaging app? There are so many out there and all have different pluses and minuses but a chat app is a chat app, right? The fact is though that many of those apps were designed quite a few ears ago and many of them remain pretty much the same as they were when they were originally released. Needs have changed and different features have taken on a new relevance. So here I am to introduce to you a free ... Read more

An easy way to stich two photos together without using Photoshop

Review posted Sun 30 Aug '15

We love a decent photo-editing app here at the FeedMyApp offices. There was a time there when they were coming through in droves. I've got so many on my smartphone that it's not funny. However, the one I've been hoping will turn up has been an app that will stitch two photographs together in some form so that you can seamlessly place one image next to another. Up until now, those actions could really only be achieved in Photoshop or something rather similar. But now we have an easy-to-use Android photo editing app called Photocon where you can take a ... Zinkerz TOEFL Making It Easy To Study Hard
Review posted Wed 26 Aug '15

The Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) was first introduced in the mid 60's as a standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in US universities. It is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions and is one of the two major English-language tests in the world, the other being the IELTS. Its a tough test that involves speaking, listening, reading and writing and costs a fair amount of money to sit - so its important that you are proficient in all four elements in order to pass the exam. ... I think it was Steve Martin who said in the Grand Canyon movie, "The answer to all of life's problems are in the movies." There are a lot of movies out there so I'm sure that's true in general but I don't think any movie has offered up a remedy for world peace just yet. I think we all agree that the big problems can be very difficult to solve but smaller ones might have a chance...given the right advice. When the app revolution got up and running a few years ago, most of the better apps coming onto the market tended to be rather socially oriented. While there was the odd app specifically made to make business life easier there was very little to help the small businessperson and give them some of the same advantages that big business - with their huge resources - benefited from. Of late, however, there has been a plethora of business apps that go some way to levelling the playing field and giving small business the chance to compete with the big boys. Read more

Make your iOS device your camera and your Apple Watch your viewfinder to the world

Review posted Sat 9 May '15

Regular FeedMyApp readers might remember a review that we conducted last year of an excellent photo and video application for iOS8 called Camera Plus. Our thoughts were that, despite a plethora of great iOS camera apps available on the market (not to mention the excellent default camera that is built in to both iPhone and iPad,) Camera Plus was one of the better ones we had come across because of its sheer convenience and the fact that it is a hell of a lot of fun to use. This simple to use and newly updated version offers budding photographers all ... Read more

One of the accusations often leveled at Apple over the years is that anything over the basic model often costs an arm and a leg. The cost of an essential item like Office or Photoshop was so expensive that many would rather hunt up a dodgy copy rather than forking out hundreds of dollars to Apple for the privilege of using the original. Things have changed dramatically in recent times however - seemingly due to the immense popularity of iPhone and iPad devices. Nowadays, there are a heap of different Office styled apps available for iOS as well as its ... Read more

According to New Yorker contributor and best selling author Malcolm Gladwell, Asian kids have a distinct advantage over the rest of the world when it comes to maths. Whereas some have purported the theory that there is an IQ differential along racial and ethnic lines, Gladwell claims that it has more to do with structure and methodology than anything else. His theory is based around the much simpler concept that Asian names for numbers are shorter than their English equivalent - meaning it is easier for them to remember more. Going down those lines, it's pretty easy to see that ... Read more

It's around this time of year that many of us will start to think of all those packages that are likely to be delivered containing Christmas presents from our loved ones. In the US alone, it's reckoned that the Postal Service will deliver over 450 million different packages over the holiday season with deliveries being increased to 7 days a week. It makes you wonder how all those packages get sorted quickly and correctly so that we get the right parcel delivered and at the right time. Maybe they trained their workers by using this snappy little 3D puzzle game ... Read more

Review posted Fri 17 Oct '14

It seems that you can't turn the news on these days without being confronted by yet another story about the weather. Whether it be extremely hot temperatures and subsequent bushfires or floods caused by cyclones, there seems to be no escape from it. For most of us, however, it's not the weather from yesterday that interests us most - it's more about what we are likely to face when we walk out of the door tomorrow morning. There are many weather apps on the market but we are still on the hunt for the perfect one. Meteovista HD is the ... Read more
