A new kind of news in 20 second sound bites

Headliner App Streaming video news
Review posted Sat 26 Dec '15

How many times do you hear it these days? The news is too serious. It's depressing. Whether it be terrorist bombs, street shootings or violent Black Friday fights, it almost makes you wanna turn off the news and watch "Two and a Half Men." Well, maybe I'm stretching it a little there but i'm sure you know exactly what I mean. In actual fact, more and more people are turning to their mobiles to catch up on the news rather than the traditional TV nightly versions. However, if the truth were known, even mobile news leaves a little to be ... Read more

An easily searchable database to find the Bible's most relevant passages

Review posted Mon 7 Dec '15

Religion in general gets a pretty bad rap these days, doesn't it? Some say that it's on the decline. While a recent Gallop survey suggests that 40% of Americans go to church on the weekends, figures from the church itself put that figure at closer to 20%. That doesn't make it any less relevant to the way of life of millions of people around the world, though. I think it was comedian Steve Martin who said in the film "Grand Canyon" that "the answer to all life's problems are in the movies." Well, to many, the answer to all of ... Read more

If i asked you which was the more popular entertainment for American families between major league sporting events, theme parks and museums, my guess is that you wouldn't pick museums. They have long been considered to be a bit old hat and stodgy and full of nothing but ancient relics. Surely no kid would want to see that, would they? Well, according to a 2011 study, there are over 850 million visits to museums each year. That's just about the same amount as the other two put together. Museums are actually very popular, it seems. Simple, interactive and beautiful code sharing that wont cost you a penny

CodePile Easily share Piles of code
Review posted Wed 18 Nov '15

The first thing I should come clean about regarding the sharing of codes is that I'm really no expert on the subject. However, i have done a fair bit of research in the last few days and one thing is certain. While it looks incredibly complicated, it seems that it's a hell of a lot easier when you have the right tools to do the job. There are plenty of code sharing apps on the market - Github, Pastebin, Pastie, Bitbucket and Google Code are the obvious ones. Some of these offer a simple cut and paste option and some ... Free cloud collaboration that is so secure that even Governments use it

Ribose Collaborate in the cloud with...
Review posted Thu 6 Aug '15

When I first spoke about the concept of cloud computing to a friend in the business in England a few years ago, we both knew that there was one thing that stood in the way - security. While it was possible to offer cheap and reliable cloud collaboration, how could customers be 100% sure that their private and confidential data was 100% secure? Well, this could well be the answer to those sceptics. Ribose is a free, cloud-based, social collaboration app that connects you with friends, family, fellow-workers and communities whilst adhering to the highest possible security levels to ensure ... Review posted Wed 24 Jun '15

If you are an Android user you are probably reasonably content with the excellent inbuilt email system. But, while there's nothing wrong with it, there are definitely times when you might need email management that has a bit more clout. This will be particularly useful if you use your phone for business and especially if you have multiple email accounts. MailDroid is a free email app for Android that supports an unlimited number of email accounts whether they be from IMAP servers, cloud mail servers or the usual free email servers like Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and Gmail etc. Read more

Review posted Tue 24 Mar '15

Its a strange thing but the comments box at the bottom of a website page often offers some of the most incisive comments that you can find. I don't know about you but it's often the first thing I look at after perusing a page about a product or service. Sometimes there are a few iffy comments in there but, generally speaking, you can find out tips and recommendations and it's a really good way for developers to find out what their visitors are really thinking. It's also an opportunity to answer queries as well as engaging your community and ... Read more

Ventrifuge You Built That.
Review posted Sat 6 Dec '14

We all love creative types, don't we? Their minds work in such a way that they can pluck an idea out of the sky and change our lives a little bit with their innovative gadgets and inventions. Many of these people are paid well and have teams to collaborate and expand their original concept. There are, however a growing band of budding entrepreneurs - who are getting younger and younger, I might add - that don't have the vast resources to develop this great lightbulb moment that they want to develop. Where do they find other like-minded individuals with the ... Read more

It's hard sometimes for small business to take the next step towards the better organization of their business management. While we have dipped our toes in the water by using programs like spreadsheets over the years, it's been a bit of a struggle to embrace complicated business management apps for many.
