Timetable and list freaks - you might get a kick out of this

Fasterplan Easily plan, manage and...
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

It’s difficult to know how to approach this one really, as an app the features look fine with clear screen pages and it’s all pretty thorough. To be honest though if I had a bunch of friends that needed this much organization just for a night out at the cinema I think I might be tempted to try and find some new ones. It’s not just for the cinema of course as you can use fasterplan to organize any type of get together with your chums. Not only can you suggest an activity but you can give them a whole host of options ... Read more

A welcome addition to any educational establishment

Attendance Online College management software...
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

Don’t let the name of this one fool you. If you thought it was merely an alternative to the old school register then you need to take a closer look. It does have an updated version of that function of course but it also has a host of features that make it an all-round campus management system. Whether you run a school, college or university it will help you streamline a lot of the processes that have historically taken up valuable teaching time. What’s more it has a level of collaboration attached to it that enables students and their parents to ... Read more

Chat and collaboration for teams, companies and communities

Hall Chat and Collaborate
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11  ·  2 comments

Well they couldnt really call this chat and collaborate tool just a room, could they? A hall is much bigger than a room. And Hall is a fair bit more than just a chat room. Hall is the perfect place for teams, companies and communities to chat and collaborate in the same space making it easier to pass on information whilst working on projects.  Hall is an unusual thing. You don't see many chat and collaborative apps that work in total unison. Read more

Collaboration for news with rich media content

Civicboom Collaborate with rich media...
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

It is a fundamental human trait to need to ask questions and get responses. In the old days when we tended to live in smaller communities this was possible with face-to-face communication. However, as society has grown it has become impractical for one person to communicate their thoughts and news with everyone on a daily basis. Then newspapers and printed media entered the scene offering content and insight to a broader crowd. Then came the digital age and then came CivicBoom. It's a news app that connects the people that have news content with the people that need it. Read more

Look after your home...in an organized sort of way

I’m sure we’ve all been guilty of it, rummaging through drawers when trying to find the instruction manual or guarantee for the kitchen appliance that’s just decided to stop working. To be honest I still am guilty of it and this app was clearly developed with people like me in mind. Having said that, anyone who has perhaps been more organized historically and kept all of their home maintenance information filed neatly away will still find this app more than useful. Review posted Wed 30 Nov '11

If looks are anything to go by then this one is right up there in respect of the visual impact that the various dashboards project. If you run a business and are fed up with having to decipher the spreadsheets provided by your departments then there is a very good chance that what you want can be found here. In fact you don’t even have to be running a business to make use of bittle-solutions, just a desire to see your data analysed and presented in a dashboard format. Read more

This workforce scheduler does a bit more than just that and with its high collaborative aspect should engage the whole team. From a pure scheduling perspective the app has everything you’ll need to ensure you have the right numbers in the right place at the right time. A weekly view shows exactly who’s down for each shift and as an administrator you can click on individual names to see their available hours per day along with their hourly rate. Any changes or updates to schedules are emailed to all staff involved. Read more

Review posted Tue 29 Nov '11  ·  1 comment

Wow! If the guy’s behind this one have got their sums right there is a serious amount of cash being paid to people annually for just sitting in meetings. It wouldn’t be such a worry if a high percentage of these meetings actually achieved something but if you’re like me and have attended scores of them in your career you’ll know how unlikely that is. Sales managers - keep your finger on the pipeline pulse

B12leads Lead distribution and...
Review posted Tue 29 Nov '11

Spare a thought for those poor sales guys out there trying to hit their targets in an ever competitive market. When it comes to performance monitoring there aren’t many jobs as transparent as selling. You either do deals or you don’t and if you don’t then you’re not performing the task you’re being paid for.  B12 Leads is an app that can make the job even more transparent but as a lead management system it could also have a positive side to it as far as the sales team is concerned. The reason I say this is because as well ... Read more
