Music licensing for the independent musician

LicenseQuote Music Licensing Solutions
Review posted Fri 23 Dec '11  ·  1 comment

LicenseQuote is the missing link in the process that means that the independent musician can actually become totally independent. It's a licensing e-commerce solution for independent musicians, music publishers, music labels, catalogs and libraries that licenses compositions and recordings straight from their own website and enabling them to keep every last cent of sales revenues.   LicenseQuote is a music licensing e-commerce solution Software As A Service (SAAS) that provides a powerful array of publishing and licensing tools for music publishers to set up and manage their own branded licensing store on their own websites to facilitate licensing sales transactions ... Create, buy & sell in an online marketplace

Kraftwurx Create your own products
Review posted Thu 22 Dec '11

I've had this great idea that I've been mulling over for the last few years to design and make sets of those cool retro flying ducks to hang on the kitchen wall like your grandparents used to have when you were a kid. But where do you sell them? On eBay? Create a Facebook page? Design a website for your product? All those things are good but really, the place you would be most likely to find flying ducks for sale would probably be the weekend market. Kraftwurx is kinda like an online market place where you can create and ... Read more

Sheet music for your ipad

Tonara Music That Listens To You
Review posted Thu 15 Dec '11  ·  1 comment

The thought of sheet music immediately makes me think about very serious musicians in an orchestra or a piano musician in a bar playing Frank Sinatra classics. I'm totally wrong, of course, but that's the image that comes into my head. In reality more and more sheet music is being accessed by musicians over the Internet. Tonara is a sheet music app for your iPad that takes sheet music well and truly into the 21st Century by turning it into a fun and very cool interactive experience. Read more

Electronic music fans look no further

PulseRadio.net The heart of electronic music...
Review posted Mon 12 Dec '11

PulseRadio is an immense online electronic music portal and radio channel tool that connects the artist to his audience as well as managers, labels, clubs, festivals and promoters. It can also have the ability to turn you into a megalomaniac DJ programmer overnight. Electro music people can be a weird bunch. You can often pick them by their twitchy faces and the constant tapping of their foot whenever they hear that strangely uplifting music that electronic can be. PulseRadio gives you the ability to unleash and advertise your own music out into the stratosphere by creating your own personal channel. Read more

Social networking for musicians

Bandlink Connecting local musicians
Review posted Fri 9 Dec '11  ·  2 comments

Well here's a new one. There have been social networking sites for everything from business to craftspeople so why not a social network for musicians (Ed, nod to MySpace). BandLink is a networking app specifically geared towards bands and musicians and it's aim is to connect the humble muso with other similar types worldwide. Read more

Review posted Wed 30 Nov '11

I love meeting up with old friends and talking about the stuff they are listening to on the radio. Its always funny when i ask which station and they tell me about some obscure radio station I've never heard of. The tell me it just plays stuff they want to hear with little or no intervention from mouthy DJ's. Bliss. Myxer Social Radio is a bit like that. Myxer is a free social networking and chat tool for your desktop and mobile that provides a music service that changes the way you interact musically with your friends. Read more

iPad wine menu MOLHO.CO bring your menu to life
Review posted Tue 29 Nov '11

Just a gimmick or the way forward? I’m not sure but then I’m still a lover of paperback books that you can fold in half as you lay on your sunbed next to the pool! I’ve yet to be persuaded about the merits of the tablet when it comes to reading material but that’s just an age thing. This app takes the concept of the electronic book into the restaurant and in particular in respect of the wine menu. With the aid of an iPad or I should say several iPads, depending on the size of your restaurant, you can now ... Read more

Review posted Mon 28 Nov '11

When you consider some of the iconic company logos around today it not often you stop and think about the thought that went into producing them. They simply identify a business without the need to accompany it with the actual name and that says an awful lot for the design skills behind them. Read more
