The ultimate TV management guide

fav.tv The right place for TV shows...
Review posted Tue 17 Jan '12

TV seems to have taken over from the movies as the biggest talk around the water cooler these days. The regularity of a series gets into the psyche of the watching public far more effectively. With so many series being highly complicated to follow the viewer is sucked more and more into a maelstrom of information and snippets of information from friends and many other sources. Miss an episode and you have no idea what's going on - just ask fans of "Lost." Fav.tv is a place for TV tragics. It's a place where you can share thoughts and view ... Read more

Color information for web designers

Review posted Thu 12 Jan '12  ·  2 comments

If you are a web designer or work in digital colors on the Internet this design tool will be a big help to you when attempting to match one color to it's exact equivalent in a different format. You could say a green is a green but there are so many shadings and nuances of green, of course, that picking one in a different format by eye is not the easiest thing in the word - especially if your client has based their whole advertising campaign around that color and you've come up with what looks like the right shade. ... Fast calendars to print

Print a Calendar When all you want is to print...
Review posted Thu 5 Jan '12  ·  1 comment

I could go into raptures over the multitude of things that Print a Calendar does but I won't. I could say that it does somersaults and can cook dinner at the same time but I won't either. I could even tell you that you could interact with the calendar and flashing lights would come on at regular intervals but I'm not going to tell you that either. The truth is that there is only one thing that this calendar application can do and that's to provide the user with the raw materials to print a new calendar for each month ... Read more

Review posted Wed 4 Jan '12

This one has had some reasonably good user ratings and it’s easy to understand why if you’re one of those people that carry around a wallet that resembles a back-pack. Never mind the cash inside it’s usually all of those loyalty and membership cards that bulk it out meaning that you can no longer slip it inside a back pocket and sit in any comfort.Well, you can now regain your posture with this smart little app that enables you to get the information required on most of your loyalty and membership cards transferred onto you mobile phone. Now, instead of fumbling ... Read more

A file manager for multitasking

Folder+ New In-App Multitasking...
Review posted Fri 23 Dec '11

Here is another of those apps I love that deliver way more than you think they are going to. Take a look at Folder+'s rather drab exterior and you wouldn't have a clue to what's lurking inside. So, what makes it so special, you may ask? Well, for a start, it's a file manager that actively encourages you to multitask which is a bit of a bonus it you are planning to do some audio recording and draw something simultaneously - because you can do that here.  It also has an auto-recovery feature which enables you to reclaim any documents ... Create, buy & sell in an online marketplace

Kraftwurx Create your own products
Review posted Thu 22 Dec '11

I've had this great idea that I've been mulling over for the last few years to design and make sets of those cool retro flying ducks to hang on the kitchen wall like your grandparents used to have when you were a kid. But where do you sell them? On eBay? Create a Facebook page? Design a website for your product? All those things are good but really, the place you would be most likely to find flying ducks for sale would probably be the weekend market. Kraftwurx is kinda like an online market place where you can create and ... Read more

Interview tests for programmers

Interviewstreet Selecting the best candidates...
Review posted Wed 21 Dec '11  ·  1 comment

I love this, interviews might be a fundamental part of the hiring process but you can’t really gauge if the applicant could do the job once they’re on the payroll from a polite conversation over coffee and a Krispy Kreme. You’re also never quite sure how much of the resume has been dressed up. I once worked for a business where a guy applied for the position of Head of Operations. His resume stated quite clearly that he spoke fluent Dutch which might have been why our Dutch boss was keen to interview him. One simple question in the language soon ... Read more
