Wow! There are 3D animals in my room!

ZooKazam Take Your Magical Animals...
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

Most of the apps we review here at FeedMyApp are good, solid and dependable and they do exactly what you'd think they would do. There are plenty of apps for business, plenty of game apps and plenty of social apps. But occasionally, one comes along that really takes us by surprise. Zookazam is, without a shadow of a doubt, an app that'll make you go "Wow!!!" So, what makes it so special, you may ask? Well, what if I told you that you could have an animated 3D dinosaur sitting right there on your desk in front of you...or maybe ... Read more

Classic old school gameplay for modern devices

Paradot Do you have the balls!
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

I went to visit some friends down the coast recently and it occurred to me that the choice of home entertainment goes down big time as soon as one gets away from the city. We played a few games of cards before someone pulled out a peg solitaire game and that was it for the rest of the evening. I'd forgotten how wonderfully addictive and entertaining it was. I guess there was a little bit of synchronicity involved when I came across this entertaining puzzle game for iOS that bears some basic similarities. Paradot is a minimalistic retro style action ... Could this be the next Candy Crush Saga?

Berry Blast Blast your way to the top
Review posted Tue 22 Sep '15

When Candy Crush Saga was first unleashed onto the mobile market back in 2012 there wasn't a huge amount of fuss about it. It was the follow on from the very successful browser game - Candy Crush. At the time, FarmVille 2 was killing it as the most popular game on Facebook The rest of the story is history and, within a year, Candy Crush Saga was made available to multiple platforms and had almost 50 million users playing it every month. There have been a multitude of games released since then that have tried to steal a little of ... Read more

Improve school grades with a designated tutor online or in person

Well, September is here again and that means that it's the beginning of a new school year in the US. Its probably time to ask yourself how you went last year and if there were areas where you struggled. Did your grades live up to expectations or are there changes that you could make that might turn around any academic or organizational weaknesses that have dragged down your grades? Teachers love to see their students putting in effort of their own to improve their grades and, more often than not, a private tutor is the best way to achieve that. ... Read more

Easier and a heck of a lot more fun than just rolling dice

CritDice Easier than rolling real dice.
Review posted Wed 9 Sep '15

Not being much of a game playing kind of guy, I winced a little bit when I first looked at this dice roller app. I mean, unless you love dice games, what is there to say about them? They roll, they score, that's it! Why do you need an app for that? You may just as well use real dice, right? Well, how wrong can one be? CritDice really is a whole lot of fun and already I'd much rather use this Android app to roll dice than the real thing. This free game for smartphones and tablets makes rolling ... Read more

A few years ago I had a friend who had been laboriously plotting a story that he hoped might be taken up as a tv series. He kept it tucked away on his mobile device and worked on it diligently for over a year. I contacted him again a couple of years later after I'd seen the pilot episode of a new series because the plot line bore a remarkable resemblance to his own. He told me that he'd seen the episode and put two and two together and worked out that, while he'd been at a writers’ workshop, he'd ... Read more

Pass your 'English as a second language' test the first time!

Zinkerz TOEFL Making It Easy To Study Hard
Review posted Wed 26 Aug '15

The Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) was first introduced in the mid 60's as a standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in US universities. It is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions and is one of the two major English-language tests in the world, the other being the IELTS. Its a tough test that involves speaking, listening, reading and writing and costs a fair amount of money to sit - so its important that you are proficient in all four elements in order to pass the exam. ... Ask The Guides: Success The best app for finding...
Review posted Wed 19 Aug '15

I think it was Steve Martin who said in the Grand Canyon movie, "The answer to all of life's problems are in the movies." There are a lot of movies out there so I'm sure that's true in general but I don't think any movie has offered up a remedy for world peace just yet. I think we all agree that the big problems can be very difficult to solve but smaller ones might have a chance...given the right advice. Ask The Guides: Success is an entertaining, interactive oracle reading app for iOS that allows the user to ask any ... Read more

Deflecto A Mobile Arcade Game for...
Review posted Tue 18 Aug '15

There are all sorts of online games to play out there. Some are fairly intellectual and some are more complicated strategy games. Some are addictive puzzle games - and we know which ones they are, don't we? And then there are the 'adrenaline rush' games. These are the ones that challenge mental reflexes, push concentration levels to new highs and test the speed of your reaction. Deflecto is one of those games. It's an iOS game that features nine tricky levels of intense arcade action where you use your finger to deflect menacing enemy clouds away from nine tiny and ... Read more

Invade and plunder your enemies with a great new online war strategy game for mobile

Invasion: Online War Game Fight to become the dominant...
Review posted Tue 18 Aug '15

Its not so long ago that if you saw someone playing a game on their smartphone or tablet, the chances are it was something rather genial like scrabble or pictionary. Angry Birds and Candy Crush soon changed all that when they exploded onto the online gaming market. However, despite all this, the truth is... the really cool kids were all playing World of Warcraft. These days, there's little doubt that the big improver in the mobile gaming scene is the MMOG online strategy game. You only have to turn on the TV to see huge advertisements for games like Forge ...
