ZooKazam Take Your Magical Animals...
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

Most of the apps we review here at FeedMyApp are good, solid and dependable and they do exactly what you'd think they would do. There are plenty of apps for business, plenty of game apps and plenty of social apps. But occasionally, one comes along that really takes us by surprise. Zookazam is, without a shadow of a doubt, an app that'll make you go "Wow!!!" So, what makes it so special, you may ask? Well, what if I told you that you could have an animated 3D dinosaur sitting right there on your desk in front of you...or maybe ... Read more

Classic old school gameplay for modern devices

Paradot Do you have the balls!
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

I went to visit some friends down the coast recently and it occurred to me that the choice of home entertainment goes down big time as soon as one gets away from the city. We played a few games of cards before someone pulled out a peg solitaire game and that was it for the rest of the evening. I'd forgotten how wonderfully addictive and entertaining it was. I guess there was a little bit of synchronicity involved when I came across this entertaining puzzle game for iOS that bears some basic similarities. Paradot is a minimalistic retro style action ... Well, September is here again and that means that it's the beginning of a new school year in the US. Its probably time to ask yourself how you went last year and if there were areas where you struggled. Did your grades live up to expectations or are there changes that you could make that might turn around any academic or organizational weaknesses that have dragged down your grades? Teachers love to see their students putting in effort of their own to improve their grades and, more often than not, a private tutor is the best way to achieve that. ... Read more

A few years ago I had a friend who had been laboriously plotting a story that he hoped might be taken up as a tv series. He kept it tucked away on his mobile device and worked on it diligently for over a year. I contacted him again a couple of years later after I'd seen the pilot episode of a new series because the plot line bore a remarkable resemblance to his own. He told me that he'd seen the episode and put two and two together and worked out that, while he'd been at a writers’ workshop, he'd ... Read more

Pass your 'English as a second language' test the first time!

Zinkerz TOEFL Making It Easy To Study Hard
Review posted Wed 26 Aug '15

The Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) was first introduced in the mid 60's as a standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in US universities. It is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions and is one of the two major English-language tests in the world, the other being the IELTS. Its a tough test that involves speaking, listening, reading and writing and costs a fair amount of money to sit - so its important that you are proficient in all four elements in order to pass the exam. ... Make your iOS device your camera and your Apple Watch your viewfinder to the world

Review posted Sat 9 May '15

Regular FeedMyApp readers might remember a review that we conducted last year of an excellent photo and video application for iOS8 called Camera Plus. Our thoughts were that, despite a plethora of great iOS camera apps available on the market (not to mention the excellent default camera that is built in to both iPhone and iPad,) Camera Plus was one of the better ones we had come across because of its sheer convenience and the fact that it is a hell of a lot of fun to use. This simple to use and newly updated version offers budding photographers all ... Read more

One of the accusations often leveled at Apple over the years is that anything over the basic model often costs an arm and a leg. The cost of an essential item like Office or Photoshop was so expensive that many would rather hunt up a dodgy copy rather than forking out hundreds of dollars to Apple for the privilege of using the original. Things have changed dramatically in recent times however - seemingly due to the immense popularity of iPhone and iPad devices. Nowadays, there are a heap of different Office styled apps available for iOS as well as its ... Read more

Review posted Wed 25 Feb '15

According to New Yorker contributor and best selling author Malcolm Gladwell, Asian kids have a distinct advantage over the rest of the world when it comes to maths. Whereas some have purported the theory that there is an IQ differential along racial and ethnic lines, Gladwell claims that it has more to do with structure and methodology than anything else. His theory is based around the much simpler concept that Asian names for numbers are shorter than their English equivalent - meaning it is easier for them to remember more. Going down those lines, it's pretty easy to see that ... Read more

It's around this time of year that many of us will start to think of all those packages that are likely to be delivered containing Christmas presents from our loved ones. In the US alone, it's reckoned that the Postal Service will deliver over 450 million different packages over the holiday season with deliveries being increased to 7 days a week. It makes you wonder how all those packages get sorted quickly and correctly so that we get the right parcel delivered and at the right time. Maybe they trained their workers by using this snappy little 3D puzzle game ... Read more

Review posted Fri 17 Oct '14

It seems that you can't turn the news on these days without being confronted by yet another story about the weather. Whether it be extremely hot temperatures and subsequent bushfires or floods caused by cyclones, there seems to be no escape from it. For most of us, however, it's not the weather from yesterday that interests us most - it's more about what we are likely to face when we walk out of the door tomorrow morning. There are many weather apps on the market but we are still on the hunt for the perfect one. Meteovista HD is the ... Read more
