Count down the days to family and friends' birthdays

AgeLog Track how old your friends &...
Review posted Yesterday

First up, let's just say that if everybody in the world was on Facebook, this app wouldn't be necessary. You wouldn't have to remember birthdays because they would all be listed for you on there. But, it doesn't work like that. Facebook, of course, has an age limit of 13 and, theoretically, no one under that age is allowed to open an account. That takes the most important people out of the equation. In some jurisdictions, its even older than that. And, lets face it, t's the youngsters who are the ones that birthdays are all about really, isn't it?AgeLog ... Read more

What is your porn name, anyway?

Nomenclature The Science of Naming Things
Review posted Thu 28 Jan '16

I'm sure everyone has, at some point, played the 'what's your porn star name' game. I guess the most popular way of playing it is by using your pet's name as your first name and coupling it with the name of the street that you first lived in as your surname. For me that means I would become Buffy Wellington if I were ever to chance my arm in the porn industry. One thing's for sure, when you add something like alcohol,  it's a game that'll be guaranteed to break the ice at parties and delivers a hell of a ... Read more

aRoo aRoo is a pocket to capture...
Review posted Wed 23 Dec '15

There was a time when folks used to always have a small notebook or a diary tucked away in their pocket wherever they went. It was vital to keep a note of all those important things like phone numbers and addresses and to write stuff down that you didn't want to forget. At home they might keep a scrapbook to paste in photos and the like or a travel log if they'd been on vacation. I wonder if anyone does that stuff anymore - especially when you can keep all that stuff and more on an app for your iPhone ... Read more

More celebrity photos than you can poke a stick at on your iOS device

FirstLook Instant celebrity photos
Review posted Fri 11 Dec '15

Despite the fact that magazines sell a fraction of the amount that they used to during their heyday, there's one mag category that still seems to be holding its own. The celebrity magazines like People, OK, Entertainment Weekly, Star and Who are the mags that are saving the local newspaper shops from going to the dogs. And what's the first page that people turn to when they buy a new edition? The celebrity photos, of course! Kim and Kanye, Taylor Swift, Brad and Angelina, Nicki Minaj, The Bieb, Stephen Curry and LeBron, Coldplay on stage and thousands of others. Well, ... Read more

Great ideas for corporate travel and group adventures with everything under one roof

Truly Visit Free Group Trip planner app...
Review posted Sun 29 Nov '15

If you've ever been the poor sucker who has been put in charge of planning a group trip or organizing corporate travel, I can only have sympathy for you because it can be a hugely time consuming operation. If you're lucky, you have a great travel agent who knows all the deals, all the places to visit and where to get the best tickets for events. Unfortunately, finding one with that much knowledge is not the easiest thing. It doesn't end there either. Even after the trip is over, there are still all the bits and bobs to take care ... A relaxed new word game to improved your English language skills

Word Smart A relaxing yet challenging...
Review posted Wed 25 Nov '15

In a recent study, it was found that an astonishing 1.2 billion people are part of the worldwide gaming community with around 700 million playing games online. To cater for these game-aholics, there are a whole heap of wannabe games released every week for your mobile or tablet. Most of them are little more than addictive time wasters that while away a few minutes on your commute to and from work or keep you amused as you lay on the couch in the evening. Sadly, most don't teach you a great deal apart from maybe increasing your reaction time in ... Read more

Keep up with all your favorite sports in one easy-to-read stream

SEAT77 The Eye of the Sports Fan
Review posted Fri 23 Oct '15

Ahh yes...sports fans! Are there any crazier and more passionate individuals than the folks who follow sport. I think it was Ted Turner who once said that sport was like a war but without the killing and he wasn't far wrong there. A friend of mine in England once told me that, no matter where you are in the world, if you can hold an informed conversation about sport with someone you've only just met, you'll have a friend for life. Fans will scour the Internet to find any information they can about their favorite sporting team but it's pretty ... Read more

Classic old school gameplay for modern devices

Paradot Do you have the balls!
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

I went to visit some friends down the coast recently and it occurred to me that the choice of home entertainment goes down big time as soon as one gets away from the city. We played a few games of cards before someone pulled out a peg solitaire game and that was it for the rest of the evening. I'd forgotten how wonderfully addictive and entertaining it was. I guess there was a little bit of synchronicity involved when I came across this entertaining puzzle game for iOS that bears some basic similarities. Paradot is a minimalistic retro style action ... Berry Blast Blast your way to the top
Review posted Tue 22 Sep '15

When Candy Crush Saga was first unleashed onto the mobile market back in 2012 there wasn't a huge amount of fuss about it. It was the follow on from the very successful browser game - Candy Crush. At the time, FarmVille 2 was killing it as the most popular game on Facebook The rest of the story is history and, within a year, Candy Crush Saga was made available to multiple platforms and had almost 50 million users playing it every month. There have been a multitude of games released since then that have tried to steal a little of ... Read more
