Classic old school gameplay for modern devices

Paradot Do you have the balls!
Review posted Tue 29 Sep '15

I went to visit some friends down the coast recently and it occurred to me that the choice of home entertainment goes down big time as soon as one gets away from the city. We played a few games of cards before someone pulled out a peg solitaire game and that was it for the rest of the evening. I'd forgotten how wonderfully addictive and entertaining it was. I guess there was a little bit of synchronicity involved when I came across this entertaining puzzle game for iOS that bears some basic similarities. Paradot is a minimalistic retro style action ... Could this be the next Candy Crush Saga?

Berry Blast Blast your way to the top
Review posted Tue 22 Sep '15

When Candy Crush Saga was first unleashed onto the mobile market back in 2012 there wasn't a huge amount of fuss about it. It was the follow on from the very successful browser game - Candy Crush. At the time, FarmVille 2 was killing it as the most popular game on Facebook The rest of the story is history and, within a year, Candy Crush Saga was made available to multiple platforms and had almost 50 million users playing it every month. There have been a multitude of games released since then that have tried to steal a little of ... Read more

Review your favorite things in just a word or two and share your opinions with your friends

In a Word Reviews Review anything, in a word
Review posted Tue 22 Sep '15

When you ask a friend what they thought of a movie, a book or a restaurant they've visited, the chances are the first thing will say will be short and sweet. Their first response will often come down to something simple like "it's great" or "it's rubbish" before going on to describe it in more detailed terms. While its hardly a detailed response, once they've delivered those fateful initial couple of words, your mind will be made up pretty quickly as to it's worthiness. As the Impressions once sang..."First impressions are lasting impressions..." Read more

Easier and a heck of a lot more fun than just rolling dice

CritDice Easier than rolling real dice.
Review posted Wed 9 Sep '15

Not being much of a game playing kind of guy, I winced a little bit when I first looked at this dice roller app. I mean, unless you love dice games, what is there to say about them? They roll, they score, that's it! Why do you need an app for that? You may just as well use real dice, right? Well, how wrong can one be? CritDice really is a whole lot of fun and already I'd much rather use this Android app to roll dice than the real thing. This free game for smartphones and tablets makes rolling ... Read more

An easy way to stich two photos together without using Photoshop

Photocon Photocon is a slick photo...
Review posted Sun 30 Aug '15

We love a decent photo-editing app here at the FeedMyApp offices. There was a time there when they were coming through in droves. I've got so many on my smartphone that it's not funny. However, the one I've been hoping will turn up has been an app that will stitch two photographs together in some form so that you can seamlessly place one image next to another. Up until now, those actions could really only be achieved in Photoshop or something rather similar. But now we have an easy-to-use Android photo editing app called Photocon where you can take a ... Ask The Guides: Success The best app for finding...
Review posted Wed 19 Aug '15

I think it was Steve Martin who said in the Grand Canyon movie, "The answer to all of life's problems are in the movies." There are a lot of movies out there so I'm sure that's true in general but I don't think any movie has offered up a remedy for world peace just yet. I think we all agree that the big problems can be very difficult to solve but smaller ones might have a chance...given the right advice. Deflecto A Mobile Arcade Game for...
Review posted Tue 18 Aug '15

There are all sorts of online games to play out there. Some are fairly intellectual and some are more complicated strategy games. Some are addictive puzzle games - and we know which ones they are, don't we? And then there are the 'adrenaline rush' games. These are the ones that challenge mental reflexes, push concentration levels to new highs and test the speed of your reaction. Deflecto is one of those games. It's an iOS game that features nine tricky levels of intense arcade action where you use your finger to deflect menacing enemy clouds away from nine tiny and ... Read more

Review posted Tue 9 Sep '14

The world is not a very happy place right now. Just look at the news. There's trouble in the Middle East and Europe, and Africa is a minefield just waiting to explode. The fact is, as individuals, we can't really have much control over what's happening in the word. We can have some control in our own individual happiness, however. MyHappiness is a social self-help application for iOS and Android that can be used as a personal happiness trainer as well as a platform to keep a record of your happy times and your not-so-happy times. Review posted Sat 2 Aug '14

Music is a strange thing. We are all affected by it in different ways and have different expectations when we listen to it. Some of us want to know everything about our favorite artists including their inside leg measurement while others aren't quite so fussy and just want to have some decent and familiar music to while away the hours and hum along to. Music streaming apps have latched onto this and there are now a squillion different places to access the music that you love. Pandora is probably the oldest of the free internet music streaming services and likes ... Read more

Review posted Thu 31 Jul '14

When Apple handed over US$3 billion to rapper Dr. Dre and producer Jimmy Iovine for their Beats Electronics headphones business recently it signalled a probable change in the way that we will listen to music in the future. With technology moving at such a rapid pace it was only a matter of time before our music listening habits would be put to the test once again. It all began, of course, with vinyl records and the radio being our main sources of listening pleasure. It wasn't until the 70's that the cassette and the much-loved 8 -track were introduced to the ... Read more
