Review posted Wed 22 Jan '14  ·  55 comments

How do you rate your customer support for your startup or website? Do you look upon it as a pain in the ass or as an opportunity to learn what your customers really want? The fact is, if it's utilized correctly, good customer support is essentially free marketing for your brand or your company. Many customers will willingly tell you what they think you are doing wrong with your product or service and they will even offer up suggestions on just how you can improve it. What's more, they will do this for free because they will benefit too. FeedbackHound ... Read more

This is an app that the alcohol lovers amongst us will truly adore. Not so much the beer and wine lovers because here we are talking about the wonderful world of the distilled liquor. The Wikipedia description of a distilled alcoholic beverage says that it is produced using ethanol to distill fermenting grain, fruit or vegetable product. So, what we are talking about here is vodka, gin, baijiu, tequila, rum, whisky, grappa, brandy and cognac, slivovitz, pisco and soju rather than the undistilled fermented beverages such as beer, wine and cider. Build your own forms to easily collect all your data

FormMule Taking the donkey work out of...
Review posted Tue 22 Oct '13  ·  326 comments

It's interesting that FormMule uses a mule as its logo because this form building application really does take the donkeywork out of the business of creating forms online for your data. In the past, it's been pretty easy to create forms to collect data of all sorts online - assuming that you have a pretty good knowledge of coding, that is. But how about the rest of us? Well, FormMule solves that problem in an instant by letting you create them for all your needs - whether that be for your business, for birthday parties and weddings or for anything ... Read more

GetFeedback Online Surveys for a Mobile...
Review posted Wed 2 Oct '13  ·  254 comments

In days of old, the only real feedback that a business would get would be an 'over the counter' one from a disgruntled customer. And even then, it is said that for every person that complains, there are another six who will simply tell their friends...who tell their friends. Things have moved on from those days and meaningful knowledge has been gathered via everything from door-to-door surveys to in-person focus groups. But the single biggest change in survey gathering has occurred since the turn of the century. The online survey business now generates in excess of two billion dollars annually ... Read more

30 minute language learning with native speakers

Fluentify Refine English with Real...
Review posted Fri 5 Jul '13  ·  15 comments

They say that the only way you can really master another language is by conversing with native speakers in a one-on-one situation. This, however, can be an expensive and time consuming business. However, given that so many of us have webcams connected to our computers these days, it seems like a sensible idea to hone your language skills up online. Fluently takes advantage of this by offering 30 minute language learning sessions - with native speakers with a shared interest, no less - at probably the cheapest rates that you will find.   Fluentify connects language learners with real native ... Review posted Wed 12 Jun '13  ·  117 comments

You'll find that the bigger organizations can afford to hire specific professionals to handle the concerns of their customers and to make sure that their business run smoothly but that's not such a viable prospect for smaller companies who run on a very tight budget. However, an app like Heeduser helps you realize that no matter how small your business is, it is still possible to get good feedback.  With a little bit of guile and crowd sourcing you can go that extra step with this free community feedback application and give your online visitors even better customer service and ... Make Wiki lists and share them around the world

Listnerd Tripadvisor for Everything
Review posted Wed 19 Dec '12  ·  28 comments

Around this time of year the media usually serves up their end of year 'best of' offerings where they will list everything from the best films of the year right through to the best anti sexist speech against an  opposition leader by a standing PM...and yes, Julia Gillard, you do win that one hands down. But who decides just who is on the list and what order they come in. Generally it's one journalist with an attitude. So Listnerd takes the concept of the list back to the people and lets them decide. This crowd sourcing community application is a ... Read more

Engage your website visitors with guides and site tours

iridize on-page guidance and site...
Review posted Mon 8 Oct '12  ·  37 comments

There are several different reasons why it is wise to add some sort of a site map or on-page guidance for your website. On the one hand, of course, there is the simple answer that visitors want to find what they are looking for easily and not to give them any reason to give up in frustration and go elsewhere. This streamlining of your information is the sort of thing that turns trial customers into paying customers. But there's also the matter of your call-center costs and customer support to take into consideration. Improving the traffic flow through your site ... Read more
