I guess the biggest difference between this new online survey application and other recently reviewed apps like TabletView and Pinnion is that Survey Anyplace has been developed specifically for mobiles. This iOS and Android app is a simple way for anyone to create eye-catching surveys and quizzes, wrap them in their own brand colors, add a logo and multimedia elements and get customer feedback to provide a better service and better profits. At under thirty dollars a month for the most popular plan Survey Anytime may be a cost effective way of providing better customer service management for your business. ... Read more

Everything you ever wanted to know about Japanese animation

Anime Doctor World's Largest Anime...
Review posted Sun 23 Sep '12  ·  1 comment

No, Anime Doctor isn't a virtual medical app where you can submit your ailments for online appraisal nor is it the home of an online vet. For the uninitiated, Anime began as a Japanese art form from the early part of the 20th Century. However, since the 1960's it has become one of the fastest moving and most influential art movements of our time. Anime, and the  Manga magazines that put it on the street, reflects populist art and design that has not only inspired much of Disney's recent work but often gives an insight into Japanese society that is ... Bye, bye email...Hello TagMyDoc

TagMyDoc The New Way To Share Documents
Review posted Sun 23 Sep '12  ·  16 comments

"Bye, bye email...hello TagMyDoc" goes the byline to this innovative and very useful file sharing app. TagMyDoc could well be the future of document sharing and takes online communication one step further into the 21st Century. While it's taking people a while to come to terms with QR Code technology - and many people I talk to still have no idea what those funny little square boxes are all about - when one wakes up to the idea that they are basically a bar code it's easy to see the possibilities. TapMyDoc is a free app that let's you place ... Read more

How far away is that storm, Tiger?

Storm Distance Calculator Stay safe from storms while...
Review posted Tue 18 Sep '12

There are apparently some 25 million lightning strikes in the US every year with around 400 people struck by lightning strikes and many of them on the wide open fields of sporting events. The most dangerous place to be, of course, is on the golf course where golf addicts always seem to want to play one more hole before the weather really kicks in. Now, I was always told you count five seconds for every mile that the storm is away, after the  lightning strike and when the thunder sounds. Storm Distance Calculator works on this theory and, with a ... Read more

Mevoked Feel the Internet
Review posted Wed 12 Sep '12

The Internet is a weird evolving object that springs up more than a few surprises. People can be even weirder. If you have read any Malcolm Gladville you will be well aware of the organized chaos that we live in. Take social networks for example. I remember a friend telling me not long after Facebook's inception to "just sign up" and it wasn't that long before its reputation grew and the "Tipping Point" was reached. Now it is getting close to a billion users and everyone from cute Kentucky girls to Sherpas in Tibet seems to have an account. Add ... Read more

Review posted Mon 3 Sep '12

Look, I have to tell you, Loc.Book was undoubtedly developed with people like me in mind. It's not that I get lost on a regular basis but, put me in one of those massive Westfield type multilevel shopping complexes that was probably designed by that Gruen fellow, and I'm a complete mess. Half the time I can't even remember which floor the shop I want to visit is on let alone it's location. I could use the store locator, I guess, but I could also use an app like Loc.Book to find my way back directly to the store I'm ... Read more

Review posted Thu 30 Aug '12

when.me is a schedule and reminder application for mobile that will ensure that you and your friends will never forget an event again, that's for sure. So why is it different to all the other scheduling apps available? Well, when.me adds a social element to proceedings and can even use Facebook and Twitter to give you a constant reminder of events you might want to get involved in with your friends. You can track your friends' future plans and add photos (before and after the event, if you like.) In reality, when.me acts as a virtual calendar where you can ... Read more

Review posted Tue 21 Aug '12  ·  1 comment

The way we get our news has changed dramatically over the last few years and it's likely to be only the beginning. Ten years ago most of us would have had the daily paper delivered to the door or would pick a copy up on the way to work but these days many have abandoned the paper chase to get their news experience directly from the Internet. But it's not the same is it? From reading snippets of articles on the net one doesn't get the full spectrum of news from around the globe. Yet it's getting harder to find ... Read more
