A fun and colorful way to teach your young kids math

Magic Paint with Math Magic Paint with Math: Funny...
Review posted Tue 21 May '13  ·  2 comments

You only have to look at the rise of Asia when it comes to mathematics learning in the world. Their children, for one reason or another, seem to be somewhat further advanced than their 'western' equivalent and they have been dominant in mathematics for many years now. The answer may be to get your children familiar with maths a little earlier in their lives. Magic Paint with Math is a kids educational application for iOS that is geared towards kids aged between 4 and 6 that are just beginning to learn about arithmetics. It offers three different colorful levels to ... Read more

Review posted Mon 20 May '13  ·  4 comments

I'm not sure why I really like Melt...but I do. After all, there's really nothing that's particularly groundbreaking about this social photo and messaging application for iOS. It might be the fact that it has a very cool name or it might be the very minimalistic qualities of its simple interface. Or it might well be that it's just the place to get your favorite photos vindicated, liked and commented on. While, of course, we can always post our interesting photos on Facebook or any number of other social networks, there's no guarantee that your blaze friends will acknowledge them. ... Read more

Fart Guitar Experience Fart Guitar
Review posted Sun 19 May '13  ·  2 comments

How could we here at the FeedMyApp offices pass up the opportunity to review an app with a name as tasteful as this one. After all, is there anyone out there that can manage to refrain from offering a smile when someone even mentions the fart world. We are a strange race, that's for sure. Fart Guitar is actually a music application for iOS and Android that offers a new take on the grunge guitar sound. It lets you play your licks on your device with some of the wildest farting guitar sounds this side of the Black Keys. You ... Read more

You might have seen an item featured on both The Daily Show and the ABC News with Diane Sawyer programs recently that talked about the wild cost variations for hospital treatment in the US. In the case they cited - a young boy in need of a tonsillectomy - the family were given five different quotes from five different hospital locations for exactly the same treatment. Nothing unusual there, except for the fact that the lowest came in at US$2,800 and the highest was $21,000. Everyone involved agreed that there should be a 'price list' for treatments and somewhere they ... Read more

I think it was writer P.J. O'Rourke that once said that golf combines two of the favorite American pastimes - taking long walks and hitting things with a stick. What is certainly true is that, while it may be a very pleasant place to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon, golfers take their sport very seriously. The thing that gets me though is the way they keep score. While TV scoreboards are filled with up to the date information, the humble golfer still mostly relies on the simple piece of paper to keep their score and has no idea ... Read more

I have a friend who runs a cafe locally and I checked out the online reviews for the place the other day. They varied from ultra-complimentary (probably written by themselves) to ultra-critical (probably written by people from rival cafes.) To be quite honest, it didn't tell me much about the place. The whole concept of reviews needs to be thrown back on the people that matter most - customers - and Sooligan is a social review site with a difference. It takes it's 'reviews' from the comments on the pages of social media to give you a much broader overview ... Read more

Glipho Meet Social Blogging
Review posted Wed 8 May '13  ·  2 comments

The art of blogging is a tough one and, while there are a lot of really interesting writers out there just waiting to be heard, it's not quite so easy to get your message across. And, therein lies the biggest problem with blogging - getting your voice heard! Glipho is a community for writers that takes blogging social and creates a place where you can display your articles and publish your work in minutes. Connect your Instagram or Flickr accounts and embellish your work with photos while adding your Twitter, LinkedIn or Google+ accounts to complete your social picture.   ... Read more

splitr Enjoy sharing your music
Review posted Wed 8 May '13  ·  3 comments

You see it every day with school kids on the bus or train on the way to or from school. There will always be a couple of best friends with an earphone from the same device plugged into their ear listening to music. You've got to hope that they both like the same kind of music. But what if one of them is into the abrasive sounds of someone like Skrillex and the other likes the smoother sounds of Beyonce? How do you get around that? One song each, maybe? Well now this new music sharing application called splitr has ... Read more

Does anyone really know why games like Angry Birds take off to the extent they do? It certainly wasn't for its cutting edge graphics or for its scintillatingly complicated gameplay, that's for sure. Smashing Egg Tido is a new arcade-style game by developer JaiZee and Gamesutra that throws itself into the ring as the next fun and addictive game for iOS. Tido is a colorful animated egg character who spends his time finding ways of trying to prevent being turned into a tasty omelet by various chefs.
