Review posted Sat 28 Jan '12

Dear oh dear, whatever next? I guess I’m getting a bit too old for new crazes in the pubs and bars of the world but just reading the developers blurb for this one gives a strong enough hint that the art of conversation and personal interaction is sadly on the way out. There is obviously a market for something like this as the site points out what we all know already. That is on that many a night out with a group of friends at least half of them will spend more time tapping away at their cell phones than taking part ... Read more

I'm not sure that I've seen a business project management application that is quite as in-depth as ZilicusPM. It provides a complete management program with project planning, collaboration and execution, a bug tracker, document management as well as a timesheet tracker which covers pretty much all of your business needs. There's also a huge array of tools to analyze the data gained and allow you a complete overview of everything that is going on under your roof. Read more

If you are serious about your online business you will no doubt adopt several different tools to analyze how your website is performing. The are so many different kinds of analytical tools available out there right now. Tools where you can check your traffic and even tools to work out which parts of your site are working better than others. Putting the social back into moviegoing

MovieGoer The best way to go to the...
Review posted Mon 19 Dec '11  ·  2 comments

It used to be that the best form of advertising for your movie was purely word-of-mouth. When you saw a movie that you liked you would tell your friends who would tell their friends and so on. The movies became a very social occasion. MovieGoer is a social movie and video sharing app for your iPhone that tries to put the social back into movie going. It uses peer pressure to encourage more people to actually go to the movies rather than catching a film on video.   MovieGoer is a new kind of mobile app that applies social networking ... Read more

Electronic brainstorming business tools

Monsoon Brainstorming Tool Brainstorm Better
Review posted Sun 18 Dec '11  ·  6 comments

I like these kind of electronic brainstorming business tools because they fulfil a double purpose. On the one hand, you have the ability to collaborate with various fellow workers who may be situated in the next office or in Timbuktu. However, by allowing groups to brainstorm anonymously from their computers rather than in person another interesting scenario crops up. The online chat room allows all your collective brainstorming to take place safely and securely in the room with no names attached to proposals or comments. This is a technique used by some of many Fortune 500 companies to promote brainstorming ... Read more

"The dog ate my homework" just won't wash with Schoolrack

SchoolRack Create a Free Teacher Website
Review posted Fri 9 Dec '11

My word how school life has changed! At the risk of giving my age away I was at school in the days before even photocopiers were a widespread part of a teacher’s kit. I can still remember the smell of the duplicating ink on the History hand-outs.  As for the excuses about why a particularly nasty piece of homework was missing well, leaving it on the bus was about as original as I got. It follows then that a site like Schoolrack would have seemed as far away as a manned expedition to Mars but educational software has now got one ...
