Digital Acid Drugs are bad.
Review posted Sat 17 Mar '12

Without a doubt, Digital Acid is one of the weirdest apps for iPhone that I've come across so far. It's an art mashup video tool that features a bunch of supposedly hallucinagenic films accompanied by their own equally trippy soundtracks. The idea behind Digital Acid is that it's virtually a digital drugs image that works by playing the video and staring at the centre of the screen and then staring at your hand to get the desired hallucinogenic effect. I can hear you laughing now but...give it a try.   Digital Acid claims to be an original hallucination inducing abstract ... Read more

Make your Instagrams more Pinteresting

Pingram.me A mash-up of Instagram and...
Review posted Fri 2 Mar '12

Pingram is a free photosharing application where you can display and share your cool Instagram photos inside a tasty looking interface that works just like the very popular Pinterest. It was developed with both Instagram and Pinterest in mind because those two apps are at the cutting edge of both photo warping and addictive photosharing techniques. What's more, Pingram also serves as a URL shortener and users can get a free URL page with your very own vanity personalized address.   I guess you know a fair bit about the photosharing application  Pinterest by now. Its been slated as the ... Read more

Intuitive iPhone address book to die for

phonetrait your personal smart dialer
Review posted Sun 26 Feb '12  ·  1 comment

There are some apps that work well and look pretty crappy and there are others that look great and yet are severely underwhelming in function. phonetrait manages to succeed on all levels. This phone organize application for iPhone is much more than just a pretty speed dialer. It provides an intuitive yet simple format address book that analyzes your twelve most often called friends, family or colleagues and presents them onscreen so you can contact them with pretty well one touch technology.   phonetrait is more than a beautiful speed dial app as it proves tself to be one of ... "The dog ate my homework" just won't wash with Schoolrack

SchoolRack Create a Free Teacher Website
Review posted Fri 9 Dec '11

My word how school life has changed! At the risk of giving my age away I was at school in the days before even photocopiers were a widespread part of a teacher’s kit. I can still remember the smell of the duplicating ink on the History hand-outs.  As for the excuses about why a particularly nasty piece of homework was missing well, leaving it on the bus was about as original as I got. It follows then that a site like Schoolrack would have seemed as far away as a manned expedition to Mars but educational software has now got one ... Explore Lenses

Squidoo Explore Lenses
Review posted Tue 11 Oct '11

Here’s a writing site that follows similar lines to others in that contributors can earn royalties from a share of the associated advertising revenue. There is a slight difference to Squidoo however in that writers, or lensmasters to give them their proper title, are pretty much encouraged to donate any proceeds to a worthy cause. Read more

Most food sites are a collection of unrelated recipes. Pages and pages of recipes from one source. Punchfork offers a new take on the traditional online food site by taking top quality recipes from the best culinary sites like Serious Eats, Simply Recipes, The Kitchn and 101 Cookbooks and using customer tweets and Facebook recommendations to rate them. Then they are presented in a beautiful magazine-style easy to use interface. Read more
