I was just saying to a friend the other day that, apart from singing Stevie Wonder songs, I seem to come up with some of my better ideas in the shower in the morning. I don't think I've managed to solve world peace in there yet but I think most of the things I come up with have more merit than anything that any of the Republican Party presidential candidates have come up with so far. Taking my ideas to the next level is the tricky bit though. How nice it would be to be able to take one or ... Read more

I've often wondered, you know. What exactly is it that turns a good app into a viral sensation? Over the years we've reviewed all the great free social apps upon release here at the FeedMyApp offices. Some, like Pinterest, Vine and Snapchat, were pretty obviously going to succeed. Others, like Flipboard, were not quite so obvious. The one thing they do need is a fair bit of luck. Given that wee bit of that luck, here's one that looks like it has all the right ingredients to hit the big time and be a mainstay in the app world over ... Read more

One of the consequences of the age we live in is the rise of the business website and online store. There are more and more people who have either given up on the regular Main Street store or have decided that they are sick of working for someone else and want to go out on their own. So they create their website or app and reckon it's all downhill from here as they wait for the money to roll in. Maybe a little naively, some believe that once they've unleashed their online presence onto the world, most of the hard ... Read more

Review posted Mon 7 Sep '15

You might have seen a review that FeedMyApp ran recently for an iOS app called Notes Lock. It secured all your notes, recorded conversations and your private thoughts so that prying eyes wouldn't be able to get to them. Folder Lock Advanced is kind of an expanded version of that for both Android, iPhone and iPad that takes security one step further to protect and lock your personal folders, files, photos, apps, videos, notes, wallet and any other kind of data that you need to keep secure. This release is actually an updated and far more advanced version of the ... Read more

A few years ago I had a friend who had been laboriously plotting a story that he hoped might be taken up as a tv series. He kept it tucked away on his mobile device and worked on it diligently for over a year. I contacted him again a couple of years later after I'd seen the pilot episode of a new series because the plot line bore a remarkable resemblance to his own. He told me that he'd seen the episode and put two and two together and worked out that, while he'd been at a writers’ workshop, he'd ... Read more

If there's one word that comes to mind regarding our online activities over the last few years it is security. Not only are there people from as far as the Ukraine and China trying to access our private information but there's also been plenty of occasions when friends, family and co workers have felt the compulsion to see what we are up to on our devices. I've lost count of the number of times that I've seen an embarrassing post on a friend's social media account which has obviously been entered by someone other than themselves when they have left ... Some apps are sent to change our lives - this is one of them

Gesturely The perfect app for people...
Review posted Fri 21 Aug '15

Here at the FeedMyApp offices, we get sent a vast amount of app submissions every week. The last time I looked there were well over 30,000 apps in the system. Most of them are a lot of fun and don't claim to be groundbreaking events but occasionally, just occasionally, one comes along that will actually improve our lives. They are those one-of-a-kind apps that we wish we had come up with ourselves. Gesturely is one such app. So how can it change our lives? Well, how many times at work do you find yourself sending emails or messages out with ... Read more

Take the hassle out of conference room bookings

Review posted Sun 9 Aug '15

You wouldn't think that there would be too many problems in managing physical conference room reservations, would you? One would figure that you just invite people after checking their schedules and then find a room and work out a convenient time for everyone. There are even models in Outlook and Google Calendar that work on that system. Unfortunately, it's not always that simple. What tends to happen is that some rooms get double booked while others remain empty - causing frustration on all sides. After years of testing, a company in Cambridge, Massachusetts has put together a faultless, cloud-based solution ... Read more

Review posted Sat 15 Nov '14

It's hard sometimes for small business to take the next step towards the better organization of their business management. While we have dipped our toes in the water by using programs like spreadsheets over the years, it's been a bit of a struggle to embrace complicated business management apps for many. So when an app as user-friendly as Drinkle comes along, it's worth taking note of it. This easy to use and unique project management application was designed specifically to help small business become more productive by organizing all your projects, tasks, leads and stock more efficiently.   Drinkle is ... Review posted Mon 15 Sep '14

The way business works is changing rather rapidly in the 21st Century. Rather than everything being purely centered around an office environment, more and more businesses are working with reps in the field - whether it be in the local community, nationally or worldwide. It used to be complicated to keep in touch and collaborate with mobile workers who would report in anyway they could but mostly via expensive phone calls, emails or by fax. I'm sure you remember those horrible fax machines. Some of you are probably still using them now. Thankfully, those days seem numbered when apps like ... Read more
