NYC Apartment hunting can cost less

Naked Apartments Renting just got easier!
Review posted Thu 15 Dec '11

Apartment hunting is a scary business especially in NYC. It can also be an expensive business and not only in respect of the rental prices as there is often "Mr Ten Per cent" to consider and he likes his cake at both ends of the transaction. Naked Apartments can go a long way to not only help you find what you’re looking for but in a lot of cases succeed without you having to stump up the broker fees that go with it. Know if a tenant is good or bad

The Rent Rite Directory Improving Communities Through...
Review posted Sun 11 Dec '11

It used to be that confirming the quality and integrity of potential tenants was a lengthy and time consuming business. Over the years, things have improved enormously for landlords but to thoroughly check out the credentials of a tenant there were a number of hoops you still had to jump through in order to be totally sure. And with so many foreclosures out there you have far more tenants entering the market. Therrd is a one stop shop for all things connected to leasing your property with confidence. Read more

"The dog ate my homework" just won't wash with Schoolrack

SchoolRack Create a Free Teacher Website
Review posted Fri 9 Dec '11

My word how school life has changed! At the risk of giving my age away I was at school in the days before even photocopiers were a widespread part of a teacher’s kit. I can still remember the smell of the duplicating ink on the History hand-outs.  As for the excuses about why a particularly nasty piece of homework was missing well, leaving it on the bus was about as original as I got. It follows then that a site like Schoolrack would have seemed as far away as a manned expedition to Mars but educational software has now got one ... I've lost count of the times when I've agreed to meet friends at a particular bar or restaurant and one of us haven't been able to find the place. EchoEcho is a geo-social tool for your mobile that let's you find exactly where anyone in your address book is at any time of the day or night. And they will show you with the added benefit of a map showing you how to find them. Texting your location is like dancing your phone number. Look after your home...in an organized sort of way

HomeSpot HQ The best way to maintain,...
Review posted Wed 30 Nov '11  ·  1 comment

I’m sure we’ve all been guilty of it, rummaging through drawers when trying to find the instruction manual or guarantee for the kitchen appliance that’s just decided to stop working. To be honest I still am guilty of it and this app was clearly developed with people like me in mind. Having said that, anyone who has perhaps been more organized historically and kept all of their home maintenance information filed neatly away will still find this app more than useful. An illustrated record of your life...

MOREDAYS Enjoy your extra days. With...
Review posted Wed 30 Nov '11

I’m a great believer in people writing some sort of record of their lives and I don’t just mean the rich and famous. There a far too many gravestones in the world with no story attached to them as far as I’m concerned and so getting people to jot down just some basic daily or weekly events is a start. There are wider implications of course and even though many people will consider their lives mundane and of no interest whatsoever to anyone else the generations that follow will probably see things in a different light. From a social history angle, ... Read more

Review posted Wed 30 Nov '11

I love meeting up with old friends and talking about the stuff they are listening to on the radio. Its always funny when i ask which station and they tell me about some obscure radio station I've never heard of. The tell me it just plays stuff they want to hear with little or no intervention from mouthy DJ's. Bliss. Myxer Social Radio is a bit like that. Myxer is a free social networking and chat tool for your desktop and mobile that provides a music service that changes the way you interact musically with your friends. Read more

Landlords can focus on corporate renters

FlatsOnRent The Professional Property...
Review posted Mon 28 Nov '11

I’m not sure why renting your flat to a corporate professional should mean it stands less chance of being smashed up during a wild bonus-celebrating party but it obviously gives some landlords more peace of mind to have men in suits moving in. Read more

Restaurant reservations tool

Eat Text Restaurant Text Messaging
Review posted Mon 28 Nov '11

I’m not sure about some of the functions on this one. Whilst I can see the merits of a few I can see the at least one of them causing some confusion amongst restaurant staff as well as diners. As a reservation management system and customer reporting tool it looks to have all of the bases covered to enable business owners to monitor diner volumes and cancellations. It could also be a useful marketing tool. Read more
