Music to my ears...

Spotify A world of music. Instant,...
Review posted Tue 14 Aug '12

Life has just changed so much for the better. Spotify arrived in Australia (where i live) just a month or two ago and I gave it a go. It costs $11.99 a month to have full access to the premium app...but this gives you access to stream (and at high quality - 320kbps if you so choose) pretty much any track that ever existed...ok, some pedants will start wailing and gnashing their teeth and scream that they can't find x or y, but in all seriousness "most" music is there. Set your Instagrams to your favorite music

tunegram Instagram best friend
Review posted Sat 28 Jul '12

We all know how the photo sharing application Instagram went when it was introduced in 2010 ... through the roof! For those of you that aren't aware Instagram is an application that lets you take a photo, treat it with special filters and share it with your social friends. tunegram takes the concept one step further, however, by introducing a musical element. And not just any kind of music. Rather than having someone like Robbie Williams crooning over your precious holiday photos, tunegram let's you share your current listening pleasure to aurally illustrate your photographic memories.   While Instagram has ... Eventtus Your social guide for events
Review posted Wed 25 Jul '12  ·  29 comments

To be quite honest, Eventtus should really be described as a social network that can be built around your specific event. It doesn't really matter too much what sort of an event it is. It could be a concert or an overseas trip. Or a trade show or conference for your business. Big or small, this social event network for Android and iOS gives you the tools to share plans with your friends, socialize during the events as well as meeting new people with similar taste to your own.   Eventtus is your social guide for finding the best and ... Chartburst Connecting unsigned musicians...
Review posted Tue 24 Jul '12  ·  2 comments

Probably the hardest thing about the music business, apart maybe from the "difficult second album syndrome," is to get yourself noticed in the first place. Especially if you are looking to be signed up by one of the major labels. But the perception, of course, is that those record companies are run by a bunch of fat cats who rarely come out of their offices. That's a bit harsh, I guess, but Chartburst is a way for the unsigned artist to connect with some of the biggest labels in the world. This music application lets you upload your music and, ... Review posted Wed 18 Jul '12  ·  51 comments

Here's a great little music application for iOS that could come in really useful for those that want to play DJ on their docked or speaker connected iPhone while relaxing on the couch at home. By connecting DokRemote to your home computer you can control everything that plays on your WiFi-connected iDevice by remote. Even more convenient if you have a laptop or tablet as you can then control everything with your butt pressed nicely into the couch while the music plays around you.   According to a recent study, about three quarters of all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch ... Give your baby a classical brain massage

Classical Music for Babies Develop your baby's abilities!
Review posted Sat 16 Jun '12

I'm pretty sure the first piece of music I can remember hearing and remembering was in the kitchen at home and it was the sweet sound of Connie Francis playing on the radio. These days kids are probably more likely to be presented with the rather more banal sound of Rebecca Black than someone with Connie's vocal abilities. The point is, of course, that it could be important to subject your baby to more quality pieces of music in their formative early years rather than the bubblegum pop of dear Rebecca, bless her soul. Classical Music for Babies is a ... Read more
