Review posted Mon 15 Sep '14

The way business works is changing rather rapidly in the 21st Century. Rather than everything being purely centered around an office environment, more and more businesses are working with reps in the field - whether it be in the local community, nationally or worldwide. It used to be complicated to keep in touch and collaborate with mobile workers who would report in anyway they could but mostly via expensive phone calls, emails or by fax. I'm sure you remember those horrible fax machines. Some of you are probably still using them now. Thankfully, those days seem numbered when apps like ... Read more

Review posted Sat 9 Aug '14

The trouble with many 'to-do' applications nowadays is that they are geared either towards business use or designed purely for personal stuff. There's not that much around that covers all of your day-to-day activities. The other problem is that they are often packed with way too many features that you'll never use and are altogether too complicated. Taskify.us is a free, simple and effective organizer that lets you jot down all your daily events - from the moment you jump out of bed to the time you get back under the covers - and tick off your tasks when they ... Review posted Wed 2 Jul '14

No, Damn Bugs is not the name of a game that is set to conquer the likes of Angry Birds or Candy Crush Saga. It's a free and easy-to-use bug tracking and project management application that has been designed by testers themselves to seek out any problems when developing software. The fact is, despite everybody's best efforts, there are more often than not a few bugs and problems that crop up on most websites in the development stage. Review posted Fri 20 Jun '14

I'm sure most of us have been in a position where we have had to send an online document or a photo to someone in a hurry. It could be a multi-page contract, a map or an essay. It wouldn't be easy but, i guess you could take a photo of it with your phone camera but its a bit of a pain and not everyone has a smartphone. God help you if you have to convert it into a PDF or something. What you really need is a scanner that you could carry around with you. Sendable is a ... Read more

Review posted Sun 15 Jun '14

If you have to rely on hand written notes or your memory to keep track of your business dealings and phone calls in the 21st Century you really aren't fulfilling the potential of your capabilities. It's not so bad if you are dealing with the odd phone call but, if you are receiving a fair number of enquiries, there is no way you will be able to keep track of everything that is said or done. Callorb is a simple but effective productivity application for Android that let's you note and make notes on all your phone calls as soon ... Read more

Review posted Fri 16 May '14

It would appear that, after the horrors and belt-tightening that resulted from the GFC a few years ago, there seems to be a little bit of money back in the pocket again. It took around 10-15 years for the turnaround to happen after the crash of '29 so we've probably done a good job in minimizing the damage so far. I think we've learned a few things out of this crisis though. The main thing i think that we've learned is that it's never been more important to organize ourselves monetarily and that it's vital to live within our means. ... Read more

Review posted Sun 11 May '14

I guess the best way to describe a heat map is probably to think of it as a table or a spreadsheet. Rather than detailing information with numbers, however, heat maps highlight the same information but use colors instead. This makes it clearer and easier for experienced users to analyze certain aspects of information. Read Heat is an education application that uses this technology to better analyze students to see how they react and respond to questions posed in the new Common Core standards testing. It aims to find out more about how students respond to the latest formats of ... Read more

Review posted Thu 8 May '14

Big business has whole departments to follow up on any business leads in order to take them to fruition. They run vast CRM's that are overflowing with features and make sure that they do everything in their power to nurture even the merest hint of a lead and turn it into a business opportunity. That's not so easy if you are a freelancer, an entrepreneur or a small businessperson who might not have the time or the resources to follow things up quite as efficiently. Nectar is an easy-to-use and very manageable lead tracking solution that is designed for those ... Read more

Mammoth Do More
Review posted Mon 28 Apr '14

I planned the ultimate road trip around California a few years ago and researched it to perfection. I started a new Word page for each part of the journey and copiously listed all the websites, resources and attractions I wanted to visit for each section of the journey - right down to the music that I wanted to hear. My hard work paid off and the trip was one of the best I've ever done. If Mammoth had been around back then though, it would have saved me a hell of a lot of time - not to mention looking ... A new, easy and provocative way of writing a personal diary or journal

Askt App Journal by daily questions
Review posted Sat 26 Apr '14

You might have seen a review that FeedMyApp posted recently for an app called BooksTo.Me. In it, it was mentioned how posting daily Instagram photos has become the new diary for many people and how it was a convenient way of documenting your life. The diary concept has all but disappeared for many these days, but with so many popular online versions available as well as the plethora of personal blogs and journals, it’s obvious that many have a hankering to document their daily activities. But anyone who writes on a daily basis will know that the hardest sentence to ... Read more
