My Wine Assistant Wine Tracking For Serious...
Review posted Thu 19 Jan '12  ·  1 comment

If you’re made of the sort of money that allows you to keep 500+ bottles of wine in your cellar then $49 a year for this site’s premium plan will seem like a spit in the ocean. I can usually manage to rack up about 30 bottles pre-Christmas, however, they never seem to make it much past New Year’s Eve and although I’ve often thought about keeping the labels in a scrapbook of the one’s I like it’s always something someone else does. Anyway if wine’s your passion, as a collector as well as a guzzler I might add, then this one ... The ultimate TV management guide

fav.tv The right place for TV shows...
Review posted Tue 17 Jan '12

TV seems to have taken over from the movies as the biggest talk around the water cooler these days. The regularity of a series gets into the psyche of the watching public far more effectively. With so many series being highly complicated to follow the viewer is sucked more and more into a maelstrom of information and snippets of information from friends and many other sources. Miss an episode and you have no idea what's going on - just ask fans of "Lost." Fav.tv is a place for TV tragics. It's a place where you can share thoughts and view ... Read more

Review posted Thu 12 Jan '12

Let's not fool ourselves here - we all forget things from time to time. Dont worry, it's not necessarily the onset of Alzheimer's. The fact is, we fill up our lives with so much information that it would be virtually impossible to remember everything. If you watch sporting coaches you will notice that they always have a notepad or a clipboard in their hand because even the smallest piece of information could be vital. Well, I'm not suggesting you rush out and buy a clipboard but there is a more modern way to keep up with the multitude of information ... Read more

Fast calendars to print

Print a Calendar When all you want is to print...
Review posted Thu 5 Jan '12  ·  1 comment

I could go into raptures over the multitude of things that Print a Calendar does but I won't. I could say that it does somersaults and can cook dinner at the same time but I won't either. I could even tell you that you could interact with the calendar and flashing lights would come on at regular intervals but I'm not going to tell you that either. The truth is that there is only one thing that this calendar application can do and that's to provide the user with the raw materials to print a new calendar for each month ... Read more

The are times during the day when you might need a little reminder as to something you need to remember or get done. A file manager for multitasking

Folder+ New In-App Multitasking...
Review posted Fri 23 Dec '11

Here is another of those apps I love that deliver way more than you think they are going to. Take a look at Folder+'s rather drab exterior and you wouldn't have a clue to what's lurking inside. So, what makes it so special, you may ask? Well, for a start, it's a file manager that actively encourages you to multitask which is a bit of a bonus it you are planning to do some audio recording and draw something simultaneously - because you can do that here.  It also has an auto-recovery feature which enables you to reclaim any documents ... Interview tests for programmers

Interviewstreet Selecting the best candidates...
Review posted Wed 21 Dec '11  ·  1 comment

I love this, interviews might be a fundamental part of the hiring process but you can’t really gauge if the applicant could do the job once they’re on the payroll from a polite conversation over coffee and a Krispy Kreme. You’re also never quite sure how much of the resume has been dressed up. I once worked for a business where a guy applied for the position of Head of Operations. His resume stated quite clearly that he spoke fluent Dutch which might have been why our Dutch boss was keen to interview him. One simple question in the language soon ... Read more
