While ReadCube doesn't contain anything earth shatteringly extra to similar apps like Papers For Macintosh, Mendeley and Zotero, it is a very useful and attractive looking alternative to have around. ReadCube streamlines PubMed / Google Scholar searches and article downloads, helps researchers to organize and annotate publications as well as creating references with Endnote and simplifying the whole literature research thing. I like this app. Based in Poland (and available in English or Polish language versions), this online app makes life very easy if you need to create a .pdf file of any web page. You simply enter the full url (including http://) and click a button! A few seconds later the file is available for download. Read more

There have been plenty of times when I've said to a Twittere friend "Have you read any Jonathan Carroll books?" Of course, they've generally never heard of him so I offer to send them something so they can see if they like his writing. That's where it gets a little tricky.
