We have reviewed several document management applications recently and GroupDocs joins the brilliant OrganiDocs HD, Zilicus PM and Folder+ as one of the better ones. It's a comprehensive web-based service for sharing files and documents as well as delivering a powerful set of management and collaborative tools that enable you to securely upload, convert, view, sign and compare all document formats with colleagues and business partners in real-time. GroupDocs was designed for small to medium businesses and provides an answer to the perennial problem that is known as document management. It starts with a dashboard where you can see ... Read more
When I first bought my iPad a few years ago I looked upon it as a really useful little toy to access email and Facebook when traveling. A couple of years down the track and with the help of WiFi technology and a few essential apps it has turned into a second computer that i tend to use more than my Mac at home and at work. OrganiDoc HD has just turned into one of those essential apps! This staggering and very powerful file management application is almost the missing link that revolutionizes your tablet and is virtually a USB ... Read more
AsPDF is one of those types of apps that I love the most. While it appears to be little more than a place to submit and share PDF's - generally not the most exciting and fun concept - there are two different functions that AsPDF can fulfill. One the one hand it's a place to find thousands of manuals, documents and research material on anything from cancer research to any number how-to manuals. But on a sneakier and very clever level it could also be a place where you could effectively store all your home manuals and technical information and ... Read more

ReadCube streamlines PubMed / Google Scholar searches and article downloads, helps researchers to organize and annotate publications as well as creating references with Endnote and simplifying the whole literature research thing. I’m sorry but I really don’t get this one at all. When I first saw the title I assumed it would be a useful educational source of famous questions throughout history such as "how do you like your omelette cooked Mr Bennett?" Read more
There have been plenty of times when I've said to a Twittere friend "Have you read any Jonathan Carroll books?" Of course, they've generally never heard of him so I offer to send them something so they can see if they like his writing. That's where it gets a little tricky. I could just go out and buy a copy of "Sleeping In Flames" and post it off but that takes time. I could use a file sharing site but, let's face it, that's a bit of a hassle. Twtebook is a PDF book share tool for Twitter that let's ... Read more
