Whenever I talk with my friends who are big users of the social photosharing site Instagram I always get the feeling that they feel a bit let down by the lack of features available to them. It's probably One of the reasons that many switched their affections towards Pinterest instead. Sure, they've added a Facebook-like cover photo and created user profiles recently but some of the biggest complaints are generally regarding the inability to see your followers and the people you follow, as well as general search and share options. Share.me is a free application that works in conjunction with ... Read more

It has become apparent that, in these Internet-friendly times, it is almost essential for any business to have an online presence of some sort. With the massive amounts of smartphones and tablets owned by potential customers these days, if you don't have an app associated with your business then you might well find that custom that could be coming your way could well be going to a business that does. That's all very well for big businesses with plenty of time and cash but what about the small business? How can they compete? Well, now there is a new design ... Read more

Gazettr is a new travel application that draws on the same passion and enthusiasm that Claire's road trip gave to Drew. It's a place to ... Read more
There are literally hundreds of thousands of apps out there doing all sorts of weird and wonderful things. And, given the exponential growth in the sale of smartphones and tablets over the last couple of years (as well as the seemingly insatiable desire to fill their devices with apps) it's starting to make excellent sense - and almost become essential - for every local business to have an online component. But how does the local person find the apps that are available within their community? AppLocal is an iOS app that's kinda like the AppStore for locals - the difference ... Read more
Things are changing for the better for small business. In the past there has been a bit of a defeatist attitude from them when comparing their opportunities of bettering themselves and their workers against a larger organization. When it came to training staff, the argument has always been that it was too expensive and took up too much time so a more ad hoc approach was taken up. But if the small business person is canny, they can find everything they want as apps and quite often for little on no cost. TalentLMS is one such app that will be ... Read more
Some might call this photo app rather shallow. After all, it really only does one thing. The thing is, this one thing that Color Thief does - to transfer and repaint one picture with the color of another - actually works really well. The app is simple to use and allows you to take your rather dull original photos and 'steal' the more vibrant colors of a second photograph to turn them into something completely different. We all have a few photos sitting in our mobile photo albums that aren't particularly vibrant and interesting. Some may be downright dull ... Read more

Now she has joined forces with Japan's Media Technology Labs to present a quite beautiful photo app called Cameran that manages to up the ante for these kind of apps. This free iOS app provides over twenty different unique Ninagawa inspired filters to turn your photos ... Read more
One thing that has become blatantly obvious since the great Instagram faux pas is that virtually no one reads the terms and agreements they agree to online. They are too long and convoluted and most people just can't be bothered. Did you know, for example, that if your precious Instagram photos are lost or taken down they could be gone forever with no liability to the company. They could well be the only copies of the photos that you have and when they are gone...they are gone! The excellently named Grambacker application comes in very handy here by automatically saving ... Read more
You can't do much better in my book than to begin the reviewing year with a good new photo application. We here at the FeedMyApp offices just love a new photo editing app that offers something a little bit unusual to the simple Instagram look. I still find it rather amusing that Facebook bought a social photo network that 'ages' and shares your new photos - and paid over seven hundred million bucks for it - when I spend half my time scanning old photos and photoshopping them so that they look new. Strange that, but it's another story, I ... Read more
