There's always the old epithet of 'less is more' but it isn't always true. For some there's no point in getting nothing but the whole story when reading the news. The ultimate TV management guide

fav.tv The right place for TV shows...
Review posted Tue 17 Jan '12

TV seems to have taken over from the movies as the biggest talk around the water cooler these days. The regularity of a series gets into the psyche of the watching public far more effectively. With so many series being highly complicated to follow the viewer is sucked more and more into a maelstrom of information and snippets of information from friends and many other sources. Miss an episode and you have no idea what's going on - just ask fans of "Lost." Fav.tv is a place for TV tragics. It's a place where you can share thoughts and view ... Read more

Watchily The best way to watch
Review posted Sat 3 Dec '11

Every single DVD retailer these days seems to have it's own pricing policy on individual titles. Some will use individual titles as a loss leader while some will buy large amounts of stock on a good selling title when it hits the right price. Yet quite often, if you just do a straight order on a specific title it will come back to you at the full list price. It makes far more sense to see who is selling it the cheapest at any given time without having to do all the leg work. Watchily compares the price and availability ... Read more

Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

Having access to the question paper before sitting an exam would obviously give you a considerable advantage but few of us have ever had that luxury. It strikes me as slightly comical therefore that a group of business school students have got together to develop a site that aims to give you the answers to questions that might arise when you’re being interviewed for a management consultant post. Collaboration for news with rich media content

Civicboom Collaborate with rich media...
Review posted Thu 1 Dec '11

It is a fundamental human trait to need to ask questions and get responses. In the old days when we tended to live in smaller communities this was possible with face-to-face communication. However, as society has grown it has become impractical for one person to communicate their thoughts and news with everyone on a daily basis. Then newspapers and printed media entered the scene offering content and insight to a broader crowd. Then came the digital age and then came CivicBoom. It's a news app that connects the people that have news content with the people that need it. Read more

Rent Luxury Cars

HiGear Rent Luxury Cars
Review posted Mon 14 Nov '11

Do you feel envious when you are driving around town in your rented Ford Fiasco and watching as all the cool luxury cars whip past you? It would be great to be able to hire something a bit more upmarket to make a change. The problem there, of course, is it's a little cost prohibitive, isn't it? While it would be nice to shell out for that Mustang for a day it's not particularly cheap and could set you back hundreds of dollars. So if I told you there was a cool little members only club you could join where ... Read more

Has Bed Bugs Does that place have bedbugs?...
Review posted Sat 12 Nov '11

I must be one of the luckiest people around. I’ve travelled a bit both for business and pleasure purposes but I’ve never had the misfortune to be eaten alive by bedbugs! I’m not quite sure what the people behind this site hope to achieve but I suppose they are providing a public service of some kind. Having said that I do think their mission to "report and follow bedbug information around the world" could be just slightly bordering on the over ambitious. There are a number of ways of interpreting the activity (or lack of it) on the site and some are ... The best way to manage your TV Shows

MyTVShows The best way to manage your...
Review posted Fri 11 Nov '11

It has now got to the point with TV shows and series that the quality you get with them is at least as good as their Hollywood cousins. With the likes of Dexter, Deadwood, Band Of Brothers, Lost, Boardwalk Empire, Carnivale and The Sopranos TV has gone to a different level. And in our busy lives it can be difficult to know which episode you are up to when you are watching up to ten different series at a time. MyTVShows is a free movie and tv management tool for the iPhone that helps you organize your TV watching so ... Read more
