If I told you that Camelot's Guitar Chords app is similar to GarageBand I could give it no better recommendation. The main difference here, of course, is that the only instrument you have to master is the guitar. Guitar Chords is an absolutely beautiful guitar learning app for iPhone and iPad that gives you a very tasty 6 string / 15 fret virtual guitar to learn to play on. Not only does it look like a million dollars but it sounds like it too - and all at your fingertips on your mobile.

Guitar Chords lets you play guitar on your iPhone & iPad with this beautiful 6 string, 15 fret guitar app. Choose the sound type that suits you the best whether it be acoustic, 12-string or jazz and simultaneously learn how to play all the major and minor chords by selecting them from the chord selector at the top of the screen. Tap on the fretboard to select the frets you want or swipe on it to move to higher and lower frets. Tap on the buttons at the edge of the fretboard to enable and disable individual strings. Pick and strum the guitar strings, either manually or automatically, by pressing the strum button. Or, you can visit the settings menu to select a different guitar sound, change the guitar orientation, change the automatic strum speed or share the app with friends.

Guitar Chords takes a little time to get used to but, when you get the hang of it, you'll be transfixed for hours. The most glorious guitar sounds are unleashed from a guitar of pure beauty and it's easy to switch the settings to get the sound you want. Its great for the guitar learner and you won't have to worry about what the neighbors think or invest in soundproofing material to keep the noise down. Now all you need to do is download an app like Drums Master and you can put your virtual band together without having to go through the whole rigmarole of hiring a drummer. What do you mean you didn't see This Is Spinal Tap. Shame on you. Guitar Chords is a knockout.
