It’s not easy to see where the pitch is for this one but perhaps some additional developments are on the cards to give it more appeal. I hope so because as it is, a few lines of type seem a little miserly to make someone wait ages for. The concept is simple and very easy to use. Type a message in the text box, scroll through the calendar function and set a date and precise time for the message to be available for the recipient or recipients to read. You’ll then be sent a unique URL which you can pass on to the lucky few who will hopefully keep it safe for long enough.
The instruction in respect of your message is to be "clear and concise" and that probably gives you some steer as to the site’s likely uses. You’ll certainly not be able to write your last will and testament in the space allowed even if it was legally binding but you might just about be able to fit in your much loved recipe for Brownies.
The time-capsule side of it is probably the most interesting aspect and you can of course write the message to yourself. Pop down your thoughts about a particular subject and after a few years look back and see how your stance may have changed. Call me old fashioned but an old fashioned diary would seems to have even that market pretty much covered.
The "message after you’ve gone" idea, whilst a thoughtful gesture, does rather rely on a fairly accurate guess at when you will be gone. If you gauge it too early it could be embarrassing, especially if you’re owning up to a large bank heist. If you gauge it too long your intended recipient may well be gone as well.
With a few more features, perhaps the ability to include some pictures or even a voice message, this could be a winner. As it is though it doesn’t do a lot for me.
