WooHoo! What a brilliant concept we have here. Veenue could almost be considered a new art form. This music and video contest app is a platform that let's you create music in collaboration with musicians from the world over. When you have completed your multi instrumental masterpiece you can play them all together to make one piece of multiscreen mayhem. not only do you have an original song but you've also captured a unique film clip to go with it.

Veenue is a platform that allows you to create your songs in collaboration with musicians from all over the world. This contest app is sponsored by the 21st Century VW Beetle company and encourages you to create your own original track with other artists. The makers of the most popular song will be invited to record their song in a professional recording studio and produce their own music video.

The contest starts on the 3rd of October 2011 and closes on the 31st of March 2012. If you are in a band this has got to be the cheapest and coolest way to make a brilliant looking video that you'll ever make. Just get an account on veenue.com and upload a video where you play some music. Then easily attach and sync it online to the ones from other musicians. So if you have that band together and you have a song and a video cam all you have to do is to open an account for each musician and upload all the loops of your song - vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards if you like but theres room for nine videos/instruments. Recreate the song by syncing the videos together and publish your videos, share with friends and get voted in the competition. Now imagine how cool it would be as a film clip if the one guy played everything in the clip. When you have a look at Veenue and the way it is presented you'll see the potential.

I have to say that I love Veenue. What a great music collaboration tool it is. And not only is it a great collaborative tool but also an inspiring piece of art that is certainly worthy of release as a regular music video. The winner of the competition will win the chance to record their song in Berlin so that's a pretty cool prize. This free music and video contest app should be a must have for any up and coming bands or singers out there.
