Spellzone offers spelling courses for American English and British English.  The lessons are easy to understand and nicely laid out.  In addition to the lessons, they also have spelling games to make learning fun.  Word Searches are a great way to improve your spelling skills, or you can work on speed in Against the Clock if you are practicing for a spelling bee.  If you like Anagrams, try Spellzone’s version - Bouncing Anagram, which is an interesting take on the classic word game.  The mixed up word is made of bouncing balls that you have to click in the right order to spell out the word, but don't take too long - your score decreases as time passes.  Why play boring old Hangman when you could play Which Witch... the witch gets stronger when you miss a letter and flies away if you lose. 

If you don't want to pay to join, you can still get access to a few lessons and a limited number of wordlists for the games - but why not join?  Spellzone is one of the cheapest sites I've seen for spelling lessons... only $35 a year.
