Managing staff attendance for any company is a thorny old subject and one quite often abused and bemoaned. You can’t please everybody all of the time but at least if a policy is set out and clearly visible to all concerned then there can be no arguing. This app certainly allows businesses of all sized to get some proper organization into managing staff leave, sanctioned or otherwise. And with all inclusive access, subject to customizable user permissions, everybody will know what the score is.
Setting up an account is pretty painless but does have several stages that are necessary to ensure time off types and general company policy are correct from the start. As for users there is a choice of three levels depending on the status of staff members. These are broken down into administrators, managers and employees.
Once the account is ready to go it’s then a simple task of inviting all employees to join (not that they have an option!) and they will receive an email with personal log in details. They can now request leave for holidays, medical appointments and any other time off requirements which can be reviewed and approved or rejected all online.
The system can calculate for any time accrued and deal with it either on a time off in lieu or paid overtime basis. At all times it is very clear to see who is off at any time on the dashboard board calendar. There should also be no shocks when a member of staff takes a vacation as management will get automated warnings of upcoming booked time off.
It’s a very comprehensive app and one that can provide a whole host of reports to give an accurate picture of staff attendance records.
This has to be the way forward for any business still reliant on the paper form and spreadsheet. With complete control over all areas of attendance and time off the calendar function will also highlight those employees who are often curiously sick on Friday’s and Mondays!
