This is a no nonsense simple tool for people who just want a snapshot of where their money is going and a nod in the direction of whether they’re actually spending more than they’re due to receive throughout the year.

It also has a fun feature where you can add a description and cost of an item you’re desperate to buy if you could only afford it. By analysing monthly income over expenditure the system gives you a constant update on how far away from your dream you are based on any surplus funds accruing.

It’s free to set up and you don’t even need to enter an email address. Entering data couldn’t be easier either, just select the income or expense tab, describe the item, add the amount and use the drop box to indicate if it’s a recurring item. You can also enter any savings you have.

All the time entries are being added the system is updating the dashboard and when clicking on that you are taken to a page containing a compact and concise overview of your position. The first thing that greets you is a note telling you how much you’re saving (or losing) on a daily, weekly and annual basis. It then takes you to a pie chart that breaks down just where your money is going into segments.

Finally it dangles the carrot of your dream purchase in front of your eyes which should, if anything, take you straight back to the pie chart for a serious look at how much coffee you’re drinking each week!

Conclusion
For those people where the electronic update of bank statement and credit card transactions are not an essential requirement for sleepless nights this is the toy for you.
