Naymz: Unique networking platform for professionals looking to get ahead

Naymz Naymz Info Visit

I suppose if you’re going to spread your profile and expertise around the World Wide Web then you may as well do it over as many free sites as you can and there are certainly a good many of them. Naymz is another addition to the ˈsocial networking for businessˈ arena and promises to build your online professional brand.

If I’m missing something then I apologise but to me it looks like LinkedIn with one or two differences. It’s free to search for people by name, occupation and location but if you want to see their full profile or indeed do anything else on the site you’ll have to register.

Users set up a profile page which the site will "optimise so that it is visible in search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo". Once registered you can then link with other users and create a network to share ideas and ask questions and browse the job board. Naymz can also suggest jobs based on the information you’ve entered. If on the other hand you’re looking for staff you can post a position for 30 days at a cost of $40.

Most of these types of site have a testimonial function and this one is no different. In this case however you can invite people to write anonymous assessments of you which when combined will result in a "RepScore" being posted to your profile page.

If your reputation is important to you, and let’s face it whose isn’t, then you can also take advantage of the reputation monitor and see what’s being said about you across a number of online sources.

Links to your blogs and other social sites can be set up and you’ll receive alerts when any of your contacts change or update their profile too.

If it all sounds a bit familiar to you then perhaps I’m not missing something after all. If it is then where have you been?

Conclusion
One more professional social networking site that I’m sure has merits if looked at in isolation. For me though it doesn’t shout "Different" at the top of its voice.
