If you run a business but are still unconvinced about the merits of email marketing then no doubt you’re still posting a lot of letters? You will probably have a stationery cupboard full of paper and envelopes plus a folding machine as well.

Postal Shout could help you out in a big way if you want to get the actual printing, folding and posting of hard copy letters outsourced and it does it in a simple to follow way.

The pricing is based on buying credits and includes the basic cost per letter plus extras for additional pages or double sided printing. Economies of scale exist and the more credit you buy the cheaper each letter you send will be. Colour printing and international postage obviously attract more charges.

There are two ways you can use the system. The straightforward method just requires you to download a relevant template for your preferred word processing software, write a letter and save it and then send it as an attachment to Postal Shout. Upon receipt it will be printed, folded, enveloped and posted. You can also use the quick send tab on the site’s control panel and write a letter directly on to a template there.

Where the system can really help is for volume postage like mailshots and renewal letters where you can generate them in Microsoft Word effect a mail merge and then use the Postal Shout control panel to send them for fulfilment.

The letters will be printed exactly as they appear on the file you send Postal Shout so adding logos to available text boxes is down to you.

Conclusion
It shouldn’t be too difficult to work out if this system could save you money based on ink, stationery, postage and man hours. In this respect it’s a no brainer if it comes out cheaper. Unused credits can also be returned should circumstances change. It’s definitely worth a look if you have bulk postage requirements.
