You can have fun with maths and be good at it too

MathsMatch Build your Maths confidence...
Review posted Wed 25 Feb '15

According to New Yorker contributor and best selling author Malcolm Gladwell, Asian kids have a distinct advantage over the rest of the world when it comes to maths. Whereas some have purported the theory that there is an IQ differential along racial and ethnic lines, Gladwell claims that it has more to do with structure and methodology than anything else. His theory is based around the much simpler concept that Asian names for numbers are shorter than their English equivalent - meaning it is easier for them to remember more. Going down those lines, it's pretty easy to see that ... Read more

A social network for creatives with more than fifty shades of grey

MinaGrey Creative Gets Smart, Smart...
Review posted Sun 1 Jun '14

Don't panic, MinaGrey is not the follow up to Fifty Shades of Grey! It's far more worthy to me than that poorly written piece of fluff. Let me just say from the outset here. This free, art and writing application is unlike any other app that we've seen before here at the FeedMyApp offices. I guess the best way to describe it is would be as a non-commercial artistic and creative community where musicians, artists, writers and scientists can freely share ideas, concepts and their artistic skills with the rest of the world. It's a social network - run by ... Read more

Fireballs in the Sky Get involved in meteor...
Review posted Wed 18 Dec '13

No, it's not the name of the next Star Wars movie nor is it the title of the next One Direction album. Fireballs In The Sky is a completely new science application developed by the prestigious Curtin University in Western Australia that allows you to contribute to meteor research no matter where you are in the world. If you look up into the sky one night and see a fireball or a meteor, you can report it to the team of scientists who will incorporate the data into their research as they hunt for space rocks. The app uses the ... Read more

Finger Flair Finger Flair iPhone/iPad App
Review posted Sun 3 Mar '13

Finger Flair is one of those apps that serve little purpose other than for pure unadulterated fun. This bizarre but artistic mix of music, art and science is a trippy little animation app for iOS that lets you control all the visuals that you put on the screen with just your fingers. You create a bunch of very cool animations and turn it into wallpaper at the touch of a finger or two. Not only that but, as a truly mind blowing experience, you can add some of your own groovy music to play along with it.   Finger Flair ... Read more

A Science Explore Boost your Science...
Review posted Mon 5 Nov '12

Science is one of those weird anomalies in life. It seems that it was one of the things that kids hated most at school and yet, judging by the friends around me now, it seems to have become the thing that they want to learn more about. A Science Explore is an education and knowledge application containing facts and hidden knowledge on scientific subjects of all kinds.   Do you know how Einstein figured out his most famous equation- E=MC²? Or why two eyes give you better vision than one? How about what the famous physicist Galileo's full name is? ... Read more
