This is a great app for small businesses that don’t need all of the fancy stuff accountants love but is meaningless to the guys on the coalface. If you do 20 transactions or less a month then you can get your books organized for free, allow 3 users access and get 50MB of storage space. Pay just $9 a month and get 10GB of space with unlimited transaction, user and contact numbers. Read more
If you think your business is missing out on much needed revenue because of poor project time tracking you could issue your team with a stopwatch and a clipboard. Either that or have a look at what Syncd could do to improve things. Read more
I’ve seen a few good booking apps around and this one is certainly up there in terms of look and ease of use. If you run a service business such as a hair salon, photographic studio or equipment rental shop then Book’d will enable you to create a website styled to your choice and start taking online bookings, and better still online payments, in minutes. As you would expect with a system like this it not only makes it easy for your customers to book, and with that a reduction in the time you spend on the telephone, it also brings a ... Read more
This is a really useful app but I’m confused about where the developer is targeting the marketing campaign! There is a really strong headline message aimed at the guys on the road who need to claim expenses with the emphasis on getting paid quicker by smartening up their act. Icashbook.com is a simple to use app that more or less does what it says on the tin. Three versions are listed although the personal version is in beta and the accountant version requires contact for more information so is likely to still be in development. Read more
We’ve all been there, the end of the month arrives and you need to account for your mileage. You then realise how lax you’ve been in recording it and have to spend ages doing Googlemap direction searches to work out how far you’ve been. And if your diary management is as shoddy as your mileage recording you might not even remember some of the trips! Read more
Perhaps the name of this app should have the prefix “huge” attached to it as that’s what immediately springs to mind at first glance. A vast number of functions covering almost everything you’ll ever need to run your business from anywhere in the world although I couldn’t find anywhere where it said it makes the coffee. Read more
If you’re just stepping out into the business world alone for the first time then the most important thing you’ll need to be on top of is invoicing. Just as important is recording who’s paid you and although it’s quite possible to muddle along using Excel these things usually get left until "later". Read more
