A fully portable autism aid for when you are on the go

Words in Pictures App for autistic children
Review posted Thu 6 Mar '14

According to Wikipedia, Autism is defined as ' a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication and by restricted, repetitive or stereotypical behavior.' Sufferers, more often than not young children, regularly have trouble understanding concepts that can generally only be solved using pictures to back up vocabulary and diligent parents will spend hours at home setting up image cards to help kids understand better, the world that they live in. A year or so back, an Italian developer - aided by a team of neuropsychiatrists, speech therapists, educators and parents from all over ... Read more

Review posted Sun 16 Feb '14  ·  65 comments

It has always left me totally flummoxed that it costs such a lot to produce true legal documents. Wills are probably the most perplexing. I've never quite worked out why such a small piece of paper can cost so much and, one has to wonder, is this a fiendish plot by lawyers who are trying to hold on to a nice little cash cow for themselves.  LawDeal is a new and totally free legal document creator that puts a dent into legal fees by letting you create your own legal forms quickly and easily.   Have you ever needed to ... Losing Your Marbles Do you have what it takes to...
Review posted Mon 9 Dec '13  ·  1496 comments

Someone asked me the other day what my favorite toy was when I was a kid. I think they were expecting me to say Lego or board game of some sorts. The truth of the matter though was that I loved my marbles. I spent hours making up games using those shiny glass balls with their beautiful decorated insides and I still get a thrill from holding a fine specimen in my hand. But we are in the next century now and things have moved on exponentially. So much so that I can now play marbles on my smartphone. Losing ... Read more

Recipe Kitchen Recipes for You & Your Kitchen
Review posted Sat 7 Sep '13  ·  377 comments

To me, the hardest thing about cooking dinner is actually coming up with the idea of what to eat in the first place. I have no problem with knocking something up in the kitchen but it is that touch of inspiration that's generally needed to stir me into action. That's why a food, recipe and cooking application like Recipe Kitchen is such a useful thing to have around. It's a beautiful looking app for iOS that offers over 100,000 searchable and easy to find recipes. Where this differs from many similar food apps is by providing a barcode scanner where ... Review posted Wed 27 Mar '13  ·  90 comments

Everyone loves a picture warping application and FaceFilm is definitely one of the better photo apps that we have seen here at the FeedMyApp office. Believe me, we've had heaps of fun with this one. So why has this app proved so popular? Well, you must have seen those short films where someone takes a face shot every day for one, ten or twenty years and strings them all together to show how you have developed and changed over the years. FaceFilm isn't going to tie you down for years on end taking self portraits but you can put a ... Read more

Review posted Wed 16 Jan '13  ·  39 comments

The rapid rise in popularity of tablets in general and iPad in particular has thrown open the whole concept of mobile games over the last couple of years. While the home computer opened up the whole gaming world it doesn't have the user-friendliness of a mobile version to capture the attention of the younger ones and the mobile phone is just too small. Confetti HD is a challenging new fast paced and fun game for older kids. This colorful logic-based board game for iOS requires you to gain points by collecting the right combination of three cards and complete your ... Read more

Tipspedia The best source for any tips
Review posted Wed 26 Dec '12  ·  6 comments

I used to work with a guy who I once described in a newsletter as someone who knew a little bit about everything. If he didn't know enough about the subject, he always seemed to know where to get that information from. Strangely, he took umbridge at my observation, but I think that there is something admirable about having a broad spectrum of knowledge. And a broad spectrum of knowledge is a phrase you could easily associate with Tipspedia because, while it may not contain the answers to all of life's questions, it does provide an expert to help you ... "Smoke on the Water" anyone? Fun and unique guitar karaoke for everyone

FourChords HD FourChords App makes music...
Review posted Fri 7 Dec '12  ·  65 comments

There was a report a few years ago in a prominent British music paper that claimed in big bold letters that the guitar was dead. That year in the UK they sold more turntables than they did guitars. But when I look at the music business now all isles guitars so I guess that theory went out the window. You see, guitars are just so damned user friendly. So that's where Four ChordsHD comes in handy. Apparently, half of the people who attempt to learn to play guitar give up before they get proficient and much of that comes down ... Read more
